Two More Challenges Complete!!

The snow has finally stopped here ... we ended up with nearly a foot and believe me when I say ... enough is enough ... bring on the Springtime weather!! It's nearly bedtime but I just had to share the other two challenge cards I was able to complete today! Hope you don't mind!!

First is a card I did for the sketch challenge over on the Our Creative Corner blog. This was a fun sketch and I couldn't wait to use my new Crafty Secrets "Feeling Yucky" images. Aren't they adorable!!! There are so many cute images on this set ... you'll be seeing more get well cards posted in the days to come I'm sure!! LOL!!
My second card was done for yet another sketch challenge ... this one is over on the PaperCraft Planet. The main panel on this sketch was a heart so I decided to use the nicest "heart" image I have which is from The Rubber Cafe. I've also used my Cuttlebug Heart embossing folder on the Crafty Secrets (Radiant) designer paper as well as the Cuttlebug With Love border folder. The rose is by Paper Inspirations and after inking it with Ruby Red & Always Artichoke, I cut it out and tucked it in behind my border folder panel. I'm very happy with the outcome! What do you think?? Oops, almost forgot ... the FOREVER image is from the SU Wonderful Words II set.
There you have it ... I'm finished playing for today!! But what a fun day I've had ... finally got some creative juices flowing and hated to stop. Thanks so much for stopping by and PLEASE come back ... I love hearing what you think of my work ... good or bad!!
DH is feeling a little better this evening ... let's hope it carries over into tomorrow!!!

  2. Wow, these are lovely. Great job on completely both challenges. I love the color combination of these, Ruby Red is a favorite color of mine.

Don't you just love when the mojo comes back! I know I hate to stop but often it is because my crafting place is in such disarray that I can no longer find stuff :o)

  6. I know how you feel about the snow. I live in New York State and we too have had enough snow and ice. I spent my day indoors creating as well.

Your creations are very beautiful. I love your rose on the second card and I love the bright colors (reminds me of sunshine) on the first card!

  13. What lovely cards Darlene. Don't you just love the new sets that Sandy has come out with. So much fun to play with them and you my dear, are doing such an amazing job.

I tried to e-mail you a message but it did not work at Splitcoast. Just wanted to share with you what I did with those circle scalloped nesties. I first placed my cs down on the cutting mat the put 3 different sizes of scallop nesties together making sure that the scallops are all lined up. Then die cut it with my Big old Sizzix machine. Once cut I turned the dies and cs around (still keeping all the circles together) and embossed it using an embossing foam. With the sizzix machine you can apply as much presure as you want by placing some spacer plastic underneath the dies. Hope these instructions helps. Can't wait to see want you will come up with.

    Take care my friend,

    Marisa
