1999 vs 2008

Yippee ... I have a NEW (used) car and I love it!!!

I "LOVE" my Subaru Outbacks!!! The white car here is my OLD car (1999) and when I traded it in today, it had 182,669 miles on it and would have gone to 200,000 without a problem ... but, it was getting older, was going to need all new tires again before winter and I didn't want to put anymore money into it since we had been considering replacing it!

The blue pearl car is basically the same car but several years newer ... has under 30,000 miles and has all the "yummies" plus MORE! A few additions are: a built in Navigation system, sun roof, climate control, and several more! I really loved my other car and hated to get rid of it but I wasn't trusting it to go on long trips anymore ... so I did the next best thing ... bought a REPEAT!!

I know this probably wouldn't excite a lot of people. I don't need a FANCY car ... but I do need one that I can rely on and that I won't worry about driving in the snowey winters here in NE Ohio!
OKAY ... that's my exciting news for today!!! Thanks for letting me share it with you!!! Sorry for the bad photos ... I took them with my cell phone since I didn't think about taking my camera with me.

  5. Awesome. You know I have always wanted a subaru!! I think also the outback but the smaller ones... the ones that are green and gold... lol.

Wow so vehicles can make it as far as 200,000 miles? Thats good to hear since my van is at like... 155,250-ish.

I get my van back today, it's not new to me but it'll have a new muffler and new wheel barring... lol, so it's kind of new!

  7. Congrats on your new wheels, Darlene! I had a first generation Outback and loved it. Finally sold it last summer. We like to say we turned it into a woody wagon - used the money to pay for the back deck my hubby built. :) Replaced the Subie with a new-to-me Jeep Grand Cherokee. Getting new wheels is always so fun! Enjoy!

  10. WOW, that is some serious mileage on the old one! I agree -- a fancy car to me is one that gets me from A to B with out any problems! I'm a Honda girl. My DH is so pleased I am such a conservative car person!!!
