Phindy's Place Challenge ...

Happy Monday Everyone!!
It sure is a rainy, gloomy day outside today ... how is it at your house?? Here's a little card that might help brighten your day!!

There is another new digi site you'll want to check out. It's over on Papercraft Planet and it's called Phindy's Place and her digi's are ADORABLE!!! Her page is growing in leaps & bounds and with every 100 new members, she's been giving away a FREEBIE! The image I've used on this card is one of those Freebies!! Go check it out ... just click on Phindy's Place ... I've provided you a link.

This particular challenge was to use something NEW & DIFFERENT along with your Phindy's Place image. What I've done NEW here is to RECOLOR the designer paper. This strawberry paper comes from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl pack and the strawberries were more of a peachy color vs red. So .... I recolored them using a Prismacolor Red Marker. Also NEW to me is using a "ribbon punch" on the green panel and run through it with red grosgrain ribbon. And of course this adorable image is NEW.

I've used the largest die in the Nestabilities Labels 9 set so in order to have a matting, I've had to cut out around with my craft knife. I also added faux stitching with a red Prismacolor Marker. My sentiment is a stamp that has the words run together ... but I inked up the "happy" first ... then inked up the "birthday" to make them fit on this round red panel.

Hope this cute little creation helped to brighten your day and made you smile! Why not pop on over to Phindy's Place (tell her I sent you, teehee) and play along in the new challenge with is to create a birthday card in red & brown using a Phindy's Place image. See you there!!
