Joan's Gardens Challenge

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Well, I must tell you that the challenge at Joan's Gardens this week has GONE TO THE BIRDS!!  LOL!  That's right, the theme is centered around BIRDS and here are the other requirements:

Use a Bird Theme
Use a branch and leaves
Use Blue on your card
Use a frame

I took this challenge quite literally!  After finding this awesome Blue Bird image out on the internet, I thought it would be perfect for this weeks card creation.  My sentiment was created in WORD ... the leafy flourish is the new MINI Fanciful Flourish by Cheery Lynn Designs (B117S) and the flowers are Prima.  I have added a touch of sparkle using Stickles green on the leaves and blue for the flower centers.  Framing was also computer generated in WORD and I've matted it in SU old olive cardstock.

Retirement has already started here in the Pavlick house and it's almost as though the house knows Mark is going to be around all day and needs something to do with his time!  I say that because things are ALREADY FALLING APART!!  The towel bar fell off the wall in the powder room last night and while Mark was chasing a squirrel out of the flower bed this morning, the one railing section on the deck fell off!  LOL!!  Yep ... the Honey Do List is getting longer as we speak!!  LOL!!

A few qualifying challenges are:
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - Swirls & Flourishes
DRS Designs Rubber Stamps - Signs of Summer
Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Rainbows, Clouds or Wings
PaperPlay Challenge - Double Delight (use two of something) - 2 Flourishes
Southern Girls Challenge - Diecuts or Punches
Ruby's Rainbow - Things with Wings
Stamp n doodle - Get Outdoors

Have a wonderful weekend all!
I'd better go make sure hubby's not doing something to hurt himself!
HUGS
Darlene

  4. Beautiful card Darlene. I love blue birds. We used to have them every spring, but now they must be visiting our neighbors.

Are you removing screws and nails to keep Mark busy?

Thanks so much for joining us at Joan's Gardens for our weekly challenge.
