A White Christmas & Musical Note Cards

Happy Weekend my friends!
Today I'd like to share with you the card I made for the current challenge at Joan's Gardens.  I'm headed out to Joan's Gardens in Indiana next week for a workshop and I am SO EXCITED to see Joan and the other ladies again!  I always have such a fabulous time and learn some awesome new technique.  AND, of course I get to SHOP!!!  This week's challenge requirements are:

Something else I've been playing with this week are Note Cards for my Mom's church organist/choir director Pam.  Pam asked me to make her some note cards using an old music book that she had acquired at a sale somewhere.  Here's a peek at the book ...

She wanted them to look 'aged' so after cutting the music sheets to size, I distressed the edges with my Zutter Distrezzz-it-all and sponged with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink.

Here are a few of the completed 20 note cards.  I think they turned out pretty nice and perfect for a 'MUSICAL' person like Pam.  Just a little note about Pam ... she & my mother (age 82) have themselves a little duo called "Two P's in a Pod" (Pam & Pat).  Pam plays keyboard & my mother (Pat) sings.  They are booked all over the county at the nursing homes, senior citizen homes, etc. doing what my mother calls "Entertaining the 'old' folks" (remember she's 82 ... LOL).  How cool is that!

I hope you have enjoyed today post and have found a bit of inspiration along the way.  Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!  The temperatures here in Ohio are going to be in the mid 70s all week - AWESOME!  That means now I need to get outside and get some work done that was on hold during those upper 80s lower 90s days.
Thanks for stopping by and please come back again soon!

  10. First of all I'd like to say, "Good For Your Mom"! Sounds like she is completely enjoying herself at her age. Those distressed music cards are perfect. Great idea to add the stickles to the top of your fence on your card. Adds the perfect wintery touch. Thank-you for sharing with us at The Poodles Parlour!
