The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge

Hello friends!  Here we are, ready for another SISTERHOOD challenge and I had a really fun time with this one.  Our challenge today is hosted by LISA B. and the theme is TAGS!

Now I must admit, tags is one think I don't make a lot of ... but I sure had a great time with these.  I decided to make THREE ... I know, I'm an overachiever!  But I had so much fun with the 1st one that I just couldn't stop myself.  Who knows ... maybe they will sell at the Fall Crafty Show ... we'll see.

For this 1st tag I decided to use up scraps.  The background paper is from DCWV and the base tag is Christmas red cardstock.  The images are from the Crafty Secrets 'Christmas' Images & Journal Notes Booklet.  I've simply added holiday metallic ribbon, Martha Steward snowflake and touches of gold, diamond and red Stickles for my embellishments. My (Ho!) stamp is from Our Lady of Rubber and I stamped it three times (of course!).

Other qualifying challenges:
Stamps & Fun = CREATIVITY - Christmas in August
Platypus Creek Digitals - Traditional Christmas (use red/green)

Tag #2 also used up some scraps and came together quite easily.  My base tag is white and the design paper is Melissa Frances '5th Avenue'.  I laid my tag on the dp to be sure I got these lovely ladies in the corner then designed the rest of the tag from there.  I've used 2 different Wright laces which had both been cut for other projects but not used.  My baby roses are from Wild Orchid.   My Spellbinder circles were in my scrap box and worked perfectly for this creation.  The sentiment comes from the Crafty Secrets 'Grand Greeting' clear stamp set.  I also thought a touch of softness was required so used a couple feathers which I purchased on my last trip to Joan's Gardens in North Liberty, Indiana.

Other qualifying challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs - Girly creations
Wild Orchid Challenge - Pink & Green

This last tag was the most fun to make.  I love paper piecing and especially on this particular stamp ... always turns out so cute!!  The design paper I have used here is Crafty Secrets 'Pastel' dp.  My dress stamp is Serendipity and the little background stamps are from a Fiskar's "bottles & blankets" clear stamp set.  My fancy fibers are from SU and the diaper pin was purchased at JoAnn's.  I used a small piece of the REVERSE side of the dress dp for the bottom border ... punched it using the MS doily lace border punch and added Kaiser pearls.  I did use a Prismacolor marker to accent small portions of the dress.  Hope you like it!

Other qualifying challenges:
Fashionista Challenge - Birthday OR Baby
Hookedoncraft Challenge - Let's Celebrate
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Show Us Your Bling (pearls)
Victorine Stamps Challenge - Bling (pearls)
Amusing Challenge - Use a Tag

  11. Wow, for someone who doesn't necessarily think of making tags - umn, you're quite good at them! Of course, the Christmas themed one fits wonderfully with our Opus Gluei theme and I love the papers and style, but I have to give major kudos to the other tags as well. They are marvelous, I think I'm going to "borrow" the design of the baby one for an upcoming new grandniece or -nephew's shower.

Thank you so much for participating in our Opus Gluei theme, I hope you return for more challenges with us!!!
