Joan's Gardens Challenge

Hello again my friends!
First of all I'd like to give a SHOUT OUT to my friend Joan Fricker of Joan's Gardens.  Joan had knee replacement surgery last week and is now going through the difficult healing/therapy phase of this adventure.  I just want her to know that I am praying for her speedy & complete recovery!
Even with everything Joan & Selma are going through in their personal lives right now ... they have obviously vowed to NOT LET US DOWN ... hence another FABULOUS challenge offering this week!
Bless You Ladies!

You can find the requirements on Selma's blog and then post your entry over on Joan's blog but I can certainly help you get started by sharing the requirements here on my blog ...

This week we want you to create a "Girly" card.
  • Use pastel colors
  • Use some type of lace (can be real or die cut)
  • Use at least one bow
  • Include flowers
  • Use at least one product from Joan's Garden

Here is what I came up with this afternoon . . .

While visiting Joan a few weeks ago I purchased this ADORABLE Memory Box 'Princess Dress' #98495 dress form die and am so thrilled to be able to create using it today!   HOW CUTE IS THIS?  And it even includes the hanger ... so sweet!  I took the liberty of adding a little faux stitching on a couple of the dresses just to help them 'stand out' a bit on the page.   What a great way to use up those little scraps of designer paper I have been 'saving'!  Why I was saving these little pieces I don't know ... but I'm sure glad I did ...they worked perfect for these little dresses!

A few other challenges:
Forever Friends - Die Cuts and/or Punches
Oldie But A Goodie Challenge - Make It Girlie (design paper over a year old)
Glitter n Sparkle - Faux or real stitching
DL.ART April Linky Party - Anything Goes

I look forward to seeing what the other ladies who enter Joan's challenges create ... they are truly an inspiration group of talented ladies!!  Hope you'll come join in the fun and please take a moment to say a quick prayer for Joan ... I can't imagine how tough this must be!

Thanks for stopping by and as always . . .
