One of my favorite . . .

. . . color combinations . . .

PURPLE and GREEN

Good Friday Afternoon everyone!
I'm supposed to be packing for a little road trip but instead I just had to join in a couple of challenges that involved one of my favorite color combinations.

The beautiful background was created when I was out in Indiana a few weeks back with some crafting friends at Joan's Gardens ... you remember THIS GROUP don't you?  Well, after playing around with altering our canvas, we wanted to try out a new product (to us) call Gelatos by Faber-Castell.  Purple being my favorite color ... that's the color palette I chose to play with.  We used a JustRite background stamp/Versamark stamped onto white cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Heat set then using the Gelatos and our fingers, began swirling the colors we wanted.  We finished by buffing with a soft cloth.  LOVE this effect ... so easy and pretty!

Here are the challenges I'd like to enter into:
Cheery Lynn Designs - Pretty in Purple
Wild Orchid Challenge - Purple & Green
The Outlawz Greeting Card Monday - April Showers bring May Flowers
There She Goes - Just Because
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Backgrounds (vintage/shabby chic)
Pause, Dream, Enjoy - Friendship
Love to Scrap - Cut it Out (use die cuts/punches)
Divas by Design - Butterflies and Birds
Flutter By Wednesday - Sentiment with your Butterfly or Fairy
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Use a Sentiment
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Okay ... I'd better get off the computer and busy in the laundry room!  I heard the dryer buzzer go off about 30 minutes ago ... that was supposed to be my 'time to quit playing' alarm!  MY BAD!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have an AMAZING weekend ahead!
And, as always . . .
