My stretch as May's Guest Designer at Sassy Studio Designs is drawing to a quick close and I will certainly miss this talented group of crafters!  I've drawn so much inspiration from each and every one of them!!  But before I go (and, I will have one more fun creation for you tomorrow), I'm having fun creating for the challenge going on right now over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog of which SSD is the sponsor.  Their challenge this week is to make a JOY-FOLD card.  WELL ... Here's a peek at the inside of my card ... yep, I'm still trying to keep up with my New Years resolution and so far so good!  Although I see I do have a few cards laying on my table that appear to be BLANK on the inside ... Oooops!  Need to do something about that!!!!!!

The Sisterhood of Crafter's Challenge

Happy Over The Hump Day my friends!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I have some exciting news to share with you but before I do that, I'd like to show you the cards I've created for the new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters.   Our challenge this week is:

SAY IT LOUD!
(Use only a sentiment on your card/project ... no images or pictures.)

Here are a couple creations I came up with:

We hope you'll come join in our challenge fun and if you need more inspiration, please pop over to the blog and check out what my 'Sistahs' have created.

Now ... about that exciting news I referred to ...  Look what FINALLY showed up on my door step today!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had actually placed an order for one of these through Oh My Crafts way back on March 1st but it never came and they kept posting that they were 'Out of Stock' ... well after a couple of emails they were very apologetic and were willing to refund my money so I could purchase it elsewhere ... which I did LAST WEEK and here it is TODAY!!!   I ordered it through HSN (Home Shopping Network) online and was nicely surprised to see a roll of double face tape and an entire 12x12 pack of pastel papers to use for my envelope making!  How cool is that ... AND, it ALL cost me only ONE PENNY more than my first original order!  Now to find the time to learn how to use it!  LOL!

Hope you are having a fabulous week and will stop back again soon!

As always . . .

Birthday Box of Cards

Good Evening my friends!
I must tell you "I AM EXHAUSTED"!  I've been outside working all day ... I should sleep good tonight!  LOL!  BUT, before 'hitting the hay', I wanted to share with you the box I decorated for my girlfriend's Surprise 70th Birthday Party yesterday!  And YES ... she was TOTALLY SURPRISED!!! It was AWESOME!

The box came from Michaels and I paid $2.99 for it.  I wanted one a little larger so I would have room for at least 2 dozen cards and this one worked perfectly.

THEN ... though it was hard to cut into, I knew my friend would LOVE the Graphic45 'Secret Garden' design papers so that's what I chose to use for the covering on this box ... take a peek and tell me what you think . . .

I spent some time last week working on the cards for this gift.  It ended up being filled with 24 (A-2) size cards/envelopes ... 1 FANCY Wedding Card in A-6 size and an even FANCIER Birthday card Just For Her on the top.

Here are a few challenges I'd like to enter into:
City Crafter Challenge - Photo Inspiration
LEJ Designs - Die Cuts & Punches
Loves Rubberstamps - Anything But A Card
Sweet Stamps #118 - Sweet Cuts Dies (or Cheery Lynn Designs - see recipe below)
Through the Craftroom Doors - Anything Goes (May 12-27)
Top Tip Tuesday #101 - Make a clever box (TIP: when using ModPodge, pour some into a small paper plate to work from and seal the bottle to keep it from drying out quicker than necessary ... you can always add a little more or pour the excess back into the bottle/jar when done with your project.)
Make It Monday #141 - Anything Goes
Craft My Life - Anything But A Card/Layout

Well, that's it for me this evening. Like I said, I've been outside weeding, mulching, and mowing ALL DAY and I am tired!  Have a fabulous week my friends!

Recipe:
Paper:  Graphic45 'Secret Garden' 12x12 dp, Graph45 'Secret Garden' 6x6 Patterns & Solids (used for the doilies)

Accessories:  Mod Podge, Cheery Lynn Designs  DL103 Italian Flourish die, Prima Flowers, Recollections chipboard bird, Wright Ecru lace, Want To Scrap pearls (colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers), Glue Dots, x-Press It High Tack Foam Mounting Tape

WOW! BUSY Day and It's Not Over Yet!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Crazy busy weekend so no crafting for me today but I do have a few other 'pretties' to share with you!  Today was the BIG STAMP SALE in ZOAR, OH and my friend Lana & I had a table filled with goodies to SELL so we could go buy more NEWER goodies!!!  LOL!!

While resting on the deck last evening after an afternoon of spreading a small portion of the 10 yds. of mulch we have to spread throughout the landscaping, I noticed how pretty the flowers along the back of the house looked so snapped a few photos.

Don't ask me how I ended up with so many different colors of Columbine ... a couple of years ago I planted TWO purple plants and here's what I have now!   Isn't Mother Nature a wonderful thing??

I just love these two Azalea bushes.  The colors are so bright and happy!

Well this is going to have to be short & sweet since hubby was busy dumping mulch around while I was at the Stamp Sale and now it's my turn to rake it into place!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Dare to be Sassy Thursday Challenge

WOW it's going to be a BUSY day today!!!

It's Thursday and that means it's time for another DARE TO BE SASSY THURSDAY CHALLENGE over at Sassy Studio Designs.  The challenge today is to use Black & White with a Pop of Color.  I'm still having fun as their May Guest Designer, and . . .

. . . what fun I had creating this card with Charlotte Sassy as the main focus.  She was so much fun to color too!  Most times for a challenge like this I would use RED or PINK for the pop of color but I stepped outside the box today and used GREEN!  As you can tell, I'm STILL practicing with my alcohol markers and I need to try some different base paper to get a better blending I think!  For the inside of my card I simply used the scraps that were left from the front ... easy-peasy and yet classy I think.

I hope you'll come join our challenge fun this week and wait until you see what the team came up with to inspire you ... WOW!  what a talented group!

A few additional challenges:
Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes
Stampotique Designers Challenge - Anything Goes
Whimsy Stamps - Anything Goes
