Sunshine, Bare Feet & Sandy Beaches

OH!  I Wish!
Hello again friends ... 2nd post for today!
I won't be around tomorrow ... headed to my sister's beauty shoppe
for a hair cut and a pedicure!
And yes ... rain, snow or sun ... I AM wearing my flip flops! LOL!
So I thought I'd share with you this evening, my second entry for the DREAMING OF THE BEACH challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow.

I just love these little kids!
Do little girls still wear little sundresses on the beach or am I showing my age??
For this card I've used some items that have been hanging on my embellishment board for years!  Why?  I don't know ... guess I just have too much stuff!
Wait!  What am I saying??  That can't possibly be the reason!

Here are a few additional challenges:
The Crafter's Cafe - Vintage or Shabby Chic
Diva's By Design - Rubber Stamps Only

Well it's time to make dinner so I'd better quit playing around and get upstairs!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening and wish me luck tomorrow ... you never know
what color I end up with at my pedicure!  Maybe green for the upcoming St. Patty's Day! LOL!

  5. This card is so sweet, Dar! I love all the blues and browns you used. The coloring is wonderful. You do still see sundresses on the beach....but it's the mommies who are wearing them these days! Such a great vintage vibe in this very pretty card!

  6. Darlene, I have to tell you I have been looking at all your wonderful creations and they are all stunning and inspiring me to use those stamps as I have all of them and you are doing such a amazing job with every stamp but my problem is TIME! Just trying to keep up with all the things I have to do and try and make comments is getting so hard. Sorry I do not comment on every card but your work is stunning. I enjoy every card you make.

  12. Your card is just fabulous! Love everything about it. That image reminds me so much of the days when my twins were that age- they LOVED anything related to the water- going to the pool, the dunes- any beach would do! Love the dies too- AND the stitching! Have a great day at the salon- hope there is no snow left to tickle your toes in your flip flops : )

  14. Oh this card is gorgeous! I love all the detail and layers. It shows that you really took your time with this card and its beautiful. Speaking of the beach, I am moving in 2.5 weeks back to my home state of NJ to the shore, only 4 blocks from the beach and ocean and my home will be half a block from the bay and marina. I cannot wait!! Thanks for sharing such a gorgeous card and for reminding of what I have to look forward to in a couple weeks!
