The BEAUTY of Mother Nature . . .

Happy Weekend Everyone!
I don't have a card to share with you today but I would like to share a few photos that I quickly took the other evening when I was finishing up my yard work.  I hope they make you smile as much as they did me . . .

My lilies this year have been just BEAUTIFUL!  I have a few different varieties and now wish I had planted a few more ... maybe I'll check the greenhouse for end of the lily season discounts.  Then next year will be even prettier!

The petunia pot in the corner next to the front door has really grown (and have only FED it once).  It was actually already potted with light pink petunias in the middle and darker around the edge ... then came what I believe to be morning glories in the middle ... which as you can see have taken over  the lighter pink petunias.  As long as I keep it watered each morning ... it seems to be very happy to greet our guests as they come to the door.

My front porch petunias have also gone CRAZY and I LOVE IT!  I typically plant a lot of pinks & purples around my house (you all can guess my favorite color).  In these large pots I plant one pink & one purple.  It's fun to see how they intertwine as they grow.  In one pot the pinks have taken the lead ... and in the other pot the purple ... Mother Nature sure can be whimsical!

Now how about this guy!

A couple of years ago we had the front of our house completely re-landscaped and they planted 3 plants in the front bed with Gerber Daisies and Coneflowers.  Well, it appears the Coneflowers have taken over.  In fact, last year there were too many new starters that I dug them out and replanted some in and around the shrubs across the front of the garage and they too have gone CRAZY and look FANTASTIC!  They've gotten so tall this year I actually had to stakes them up and gather them around with velcro strapping to keep the wind from destroying them.

Now here are a couple NEWBIES I planted this year along the side of the garage when I had the landscape guys dig everything out and 'start anew' ... (morning glories & ground cover completely took over and it was looking like a jungle!)

This pretty plant is BeeBalm and yes ... the bees love it and that's 'A Good Thing!'

In fact, one came to visit while I was taking the photo.
And, he or she, was really busy bouncing from one flower to another as I was taking pictures, collecting that sweet nectar.

A couple more NEW PURPLE PLANTINGS to the beds are the beautiful Foxgloves (on the left) and Delphinium (on the right).   I wish I had taken a photo of the Foxgloves earlier when there were more blooms up the stem ... but you can get the idea.  Also known as Digitalis, you can read about them HERE.   The Delphinium is one of my favorites!  I don't know if you can see all the new shoots coming up around it ... going to be beautiful with the yellow lillies.  You can read more about them HERE if you're interested.

Well I guess I've taken up enough of your time today!  Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you enjoyed the little stroll through my flower gardens.

I seem to be having some computer issues ... grrrrr ... hate when that happens.  So, I'm trying to run a full scan and it keeps shutting down on me!  Hopefully I can get it to run the entire scan so I can see what 'varmit' has crept into my files!

HAPPY DAY ALL!
As always . . .
