OH!  OH!  I nearly forgot to tell you!!!
We are THRILLED to have GLENDA BROOKS (MagPie's Corner)
as our September Linky Party Guest Designer!

OKAY ... on to today's project!
(going to be a long, photo-heavy post ... sorry!)
Halloween is BIG in my neighborhood (we get between 100-200 kids ... yep that's no typo! lol)  So, I went with the Halloween theme today and have created a couple different ways to make a 'special' treat bag!  NO ... I'm NOT making up 200 of these!!  LOL!  They will just have to reach in the bowl like past years ... however, I might fill them for the 2 special little girls next door!  Ssshh!

For both treat bags, I have used the papers and images available on the
The selections on this CD and remarkable ... you could just go CRAZY with your decorating!!

 TREAT BAG #1
DECORATIVE TOP TUTORIAL:

Step 1:  Choose and print the images and papers you'd like to decorate your treat bag with.

Step 2:  Add a fancy (more unique) top to your bag using either dies or border punches.  I have used one of the dies from the Spellbinder (S5-214) A2 Scallop Borders Two die set.

Step 3:  Create your treat bag front as you would your greeting cards and adhere it to the bag front.  Before adhering, I've punched a couple holes in the top, left corner and threaded through a piece of orange/black wired ribbon and simply tied it into a knot.

Step 4:  Get as plain or as fancy as you'd like.  Fill it with your treats and put a huge smile on the face of the recipient!

TREAT BAG #2
SLIDE OVER HANDLE TUTORIAL

Step 1:  Again, from the same CD, choose the papers and images you'd like to create with.

Step 2:  These colorful, handle bags are perfect for trick or treating and are available at most discount, craft, and even department stores like Target & WalMart.

Step 3:  By using one of the 'scrap pieces' from my earlier treat bag, I simply cut a piece a couple of inches wider than the bag and 3 1/2" wide.

Step 4:  Score the length at 1 1/2" ... leaving a half inch allowance for the border punching, then slice on the score line an inch in from either end.  Creating you an opening to slip over the handles.

Step 5:  You can decorate this slide over cover or leave it plain.  I chose to use the 'Halloween Loot' phrase from the CD and fussy cut it to separate the words before adhering them to the cover.

I hope you've enjoyed this idea and as I said earlier ... PLEASE pop over to see my team mates project ideas ... here are links to their blogs for your convenience.
and of course don't forget our Guest Designer Glenda Brooks!

I do hope you'll come join in our Linky Party Fun!!

As always ...
