Rainy Days . . .

Hello Friends!
How do you feel about Rainy Days?
Do they make you sad and moody?
Or do you take advantage of the situation and grab a cup of java and a good book?
Me ... I try to be a 'positive' person so I actually
enjoy the rain though I don't like a down pour!!
Especially at night ... nothing more soothing to me than the sound of the rain on the roof.

Today's challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters is

APRIL SHOWERS
(Anything to do with RAIN ... raindrops, raincoat, umbrella, boots, etc.)

I have two cards for you today ...
both images were 'repurposed' from cards
I have received in the mail from various charities
we have donated to through the year.

For this second card, I created the background by stamping the raindrops with a very old background stamp from CC Rubber Stamps onto white card stock with SU Soft Sky ink then sponged around the edges lightly with Tim Holtz distress ink.  The lower portion was sponged with Memento 'bamboo leaves' ink.  The addition of a Get Well Soon sentiment die cut by Elizabeth Crafts was the only embellishment this card required.  Kind of says it all!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters.
We have a new challenge the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
Hope to see you there!
