Can't go wrong with Black & White

Happy Weekend All!
It's really, really cold here in Ohio, USA so what better way to stay safe & warm then to hide out in my crafting cave and get creative!  There's a really cool 'Recipe' challenge going on over at the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog that I thought would be fun to participate in today.

Here's the 'recipe':
A recipe.....
Create a design and have some fun,
Use this recipe and your work will be done,
Just use black and white to make a start,
But then add some red , a flower/s and a little love heart......X

Doesn't that sound like fun?
And, you can never go wrong with a black & white starting point!
Here's what I came up with . . .

I was actually able to utilize some bits and pieces that I've had
laying around (OMG from last SPRING!  can you believe it?).

While demoing for Heartfelt Creations at last April's Adventures in Stamping held here in Akron each year, the lovely Andrea from the Heartfelt team offered me the left over punched out flowers that she had been demoing at the booth.

Of course I said yes so now I have a nice pile of cut outs to work with when I want to create a fast flower.  They had been stamped in brown ink and I simply sponged over them in the red color I was wanting.  What fun!!

Now let's see if I can locate a few challenges to share in today:
Art Impressions Challenge - Love, Love, Love
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Use a Love sentiment.
Stars Stampz Challenge - All about Love
Card Mania Challenge - Add some Red
Crafts and Me Challenge - Use Reds or Valentines
A Gem of a Challenge - Love is in the Air

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
They are saying another 2-5" of snow and bitter cold temperatures today
so I'm not going anywhere!  LOL!

Want a peek at what I'm working on???
I have a show coming up in April at the Country Club and the theme is 'Vintage Brides'.
Last fall's theme was 'Downton Abbey' and it was awesome!
These ladies love vintage design so I thought I'd work up a few 'easel' creations
(will share finished projects at a later date).

As always . . .
