Tutti Designs - Bird Tapestry

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today is my day to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.  Tutti has come out with so many amazing dies recently and just wait until you see what they will have to share in the near future!

Today's card was created in MINUTES!  That's right ... quick, easy & GORGEOUS!
I've used the Tutti Designs 'Bird Tapestry - TUTTI-164' for today's design.

You can make a beautiful card in no time at all using these amazing Tutti dies.

By simply die cutting this beautiful die from white card stock and adhering it to a panel of blue foil paper, my focus image was DONE!  I merely adhered it to my white card base and added a few Nuvo crystal drops along the right & left side ... and ... VIOLA!

Add your sentiment to the inside and you are set to go!
This would make a beautiful Wedding card or even a Birthday card!

Why yes in deed, a birthday card it is!
I had a narrow scrap of this beautiful blue foil paper left from my background cut which worked PERFECTLY for the inside sentiment.  I decided on the beautiful Sue Wilson 'Happy Birthday' CED5406 die.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of these fabulous dies.

Dies R Us - For Someone Special

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a creation made for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog!
The card I have made is designed using dies from the Dies R Us Store.  If you've not popped over to the Dies R Us Store recently, DO IT NOW!  So many newly released dies that you won't want to miss out on.

I've used new & old dies today and was attempting to use up some of the scraps I've had laying around on my work table.  For instance, the blue frame ... left over from an earlier project using Spellbinder 'Pierced Rectangles' SCD-012 dies .  The gold & green background panel for my sentiment is a Sue Wilson die set ... Canadian Collection - Toronto - CED6204.  Again using up scraps to die cut my panels.
Cheery Lynn Designs - For Someone SpecialSue Wilson Designs - Canadian Collection - Toronto

I just recently purchased this Cheery Lynn Designs sentiment die, 'For Someone Special' #B788 ... could be used in so many applications!!  TIP:  I have found when using this type of die, it looks really cool if you put a 'shadow' panel behind it by making a second cut from a darker paper.

So easy, yet so effective!!  Give it a try!!

Please remember, each an every day of the month there's a new inspiration sample shared on the blog by this fabulous design team.  Please be sure to pop in regularly.

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Pumpkins or the Color Orange

Hello All!
Time for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
I happy to say I am your hostess today and I chose the theme

PUMPKINS or the COLOR ORANGE

This should be fun for you as well as for us!!
Here's what I came up with using both the color orange AND pumpkins.

So many times my stamp sets get ignored (due to having fun with die cuts)
so today I went to my stamps first thing ... to find inspiration.

Awhile back I had won a couple stamp sets over on Sprinkle & Sparkle (thanks SO MUCH again) and I thought this 'Thinking of You' set would work perfectly.  I began by stamping the sunflowers onto white card stock then again onto a scrap piece of the same Craft Smith designer paper I used for my background panel.  I colored the leaves using my Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut the design paper sunflowers and paper pieced them onto my full stamped image.

I'm not sure if it was my card stock or the ink or the stamp set itself,
but the ink would not dry so I had to emboss it before I could work with it.
I also found later that my words weren't drying either (hence the little butterfly on the top of the flowers to hide a smudge) so quickly added embossing powder and heat set them before I ruined the entire card!  LOL

I do hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
You will have until November 6th to share your creation and
the winner's will be announced on November 8th
with a brand new challenge going live on November 9th!

Till then and as always . . .

Tutti Designs - Lily of the Valley

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I'm happy to say it's my turn once again to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.  Have you checked out this new die company yet?  If not, you truly owe it to yourself to pop over to see the fabulous die designs available.  I'm using dies from their September release, which is available in the store, but keep watching because there are more new, beautiful dies coming over the next couple of months!

I fell in love with both of these Lily of the Valley dies so decided to combine the two into one creation.  What do you think?  The dies I have used are:

and

Of course either of these dies could stand alone beautifully but I was curious how they would work together and I'm very happy with the outcome!  Again ... trying to 'think outside the box' a bit!

I've die cut both dies from white card stock then did a little coloring using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers LG2 & LG3.  I wanted a 'backdrop' for my frame so die cut an oval panel and sponged it with a sky blue ink pad to add the look of a pretty summertime sky in behind these beautiful flowers.   To create the matting for my beautiful focus Lily of the Valley, I simply used the same ink pad with a ruler.

When possible, I like to finish the inside of my cards as I'm creating them.  That of course is not always possible but with today's card being a Birthday theme, I had no excuse for not doing the finishing touches.  Here's a peek at the inside:

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store

It's Fussy and Fancy Time!

Hello Everyone!
It's time once again for a new challenge over at the
 Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge
This new challenge is hosted by Jo and the theme she has chosen is

 SHADES OF AUTUMN

And, our sponsor is Wild Orchid Crafts

I don't know about you, but I just LOVE this time of the year!
The air is cool and crisp, the leaves are changing
into such beautiful color, football is back on TV ... oh yea, I watch football with
my sweetie!  Plus, I intend to enjoy
every minute I can outdoors before winter sets in!

Thinking about those beautiful Fall colored leaves was what inspired today's creation.
I recently saw a friend using the 'gilding flakes' on a project
and I knew that would be the perfect medium to use for Fall leaves.

The leaf dies I used is a very OLD Spellbinder die set and I love the
deep embossing it leaves.  For my maple leaves I used the sticker sheet for the gilding
but then die cut again from black card stock to use as a 'shadow effect'
The oak leaves were die cut from foil panels from the DCWV foils 6x6 pack.

Instead of adding an extra layer of matting card stock,
I simply (and carefully) went around the edge of my white background
panel with a Gold Pilot Marker.  To finish off my card, I've added
some green bakers twine, sequins and a sentiment.

Tutti Designs - Bird Singing in the Tree

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today it's my turn to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.  Tutti has come out with so many amazing dies recently and just wait until you see what they will have to share in the near future!

Today I've created a pretty card that could be used for just about any occasion!

I have used the Tutti Designs 'Bird Branch Chorus' - TUTTI-167
This is one of the dies from our August Release.

There are so many things you can do with this die.  As you see, I ran my die back through my machine with a little scrap of RED card stock to create my red bird.  A few little snip, snips and he's happy singing away on the tree branch.  I've used a green Spectrum Noir marker to color in my leaves/branches and a little touch of yellow Nuvo for my flower centers.

You could also die cut a second panel from a different color ... snip the flowers ... and overlap them onto the original die cut for added dimension and color.

Using one of my larger frame dies, I created the background.
I wanted the blue panel to mimic the sky but wasn't happy with all the 'blue space' then I noticed this little clear flower die on my smallest clear block and thought it looked similar to the flowers on my die cut panel.  So, I grabbed my Versamark pad and simply stamped one in each corner.

Here's a peek at the inside:

Dies R Us - Singing a Song of Autumn

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a creation made for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog!
The card I have made is designed using dies from the Dies R Us Store.  If you've not popped over to the Dies R Us Store recently, DO IT NOW!  So many newly released dies that you won't want to miss out on.

Earlier this month I saw team mate Connie using these Guilding Flakes on her creation (seen HERE) and knowing I had this item in my possession but never gave them a try, I was inspired to see what dies I had in my stash that would work well.  Low and behold I spotted this Sue Wilson Scandinavian Collection CED4201 dies that I thought would be beautiful ... and it is!!

Sue Wilson Designs - Scandinavian Collection - Background

I could have also done the gilding flakes technique on the center panel and 'called it done!'  But, I spotted this cute little bird image and thought 'Why Not?'  A pretty ribbon and a few crystal drops is all my card required for a finishing touch.

It's always fun to 'think outside the box' on using our die cuts
and I think this one made for a beautiful backing.
