A 'Kraft' colored birthday . . .

Hello All!
Let me get right too it!!
Are you familiar with Darnell of djkardkreations?
Well if you're having a bad day, all you need to do is pop on over to Darnell's
little corner of blogland and your spirits will soar in no time ... she's so darn funny!
Anyway, she has this fun, fun challenge that unfortunately I
don't get to join into nearly often enough but I'm
going to try and do better in 2017.  Currently she is celebrating various
'anniversaries' and is DOIN IT UP BIG!!  Be sure to pop over and check out all the details.

This week's NBUS challenge is 'Colored Pencils on Kraft'!

Now I must admit, kraft paper is my LEAST favorite but
I'm flabber-gasted at how sweet this card looks.

I won this BoBunny stamp set (sorry don't remember where ... old age ya know)
and had never inked it up ... well today was the day!
And, since I bought various sets of Spectrum Noir pencils, my
Prisma pencils have been collecting dust ... UNTIL TODAY!

I used the white pencil to create my faux stitching
and blue, green, yellow & purple to color my versafine onyx stamped image.

My Tutti Designs die cuts ... Happy and Birthday, were cut
using scraps of yellow & purple cardstock from the card stock scrap box.
This one lonesome purple sequin was peeking out from under
one of the drawer boxes on my work station just
begging to be used ... I obliged!

Challenges to share in:

This style & technique are TOTALLY out of my wheel house
but as I mentioned ... I'm quite thrilled with the outcome!

Hope you'll come join in Darnell's fun and wish her many happy returns!!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
