Double D - Fright Night

Hello Friends!
It's time for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Team Diane is hosting today and the theme is:

*** FRIGHT NIGHT ***
(Use the colors or the patterns or the images
or anything YOU see in the mood board)

Here's the inspiration board Diane has created to help you get started . . .

I was inspired of course by the colors and then by the spiders which I turned into bats (lol) and also the orange polka dots.  When I was creating this card I had just watched the Jennifer McGuire video on Silhouette Stamping so thought I'd give it a try.

The stamp I used is a VERY OLD Inkadinkado clear set  called 'Halloween Trails'.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx ink then used Detail Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.  Eclipse Masking Medium was used to create my opening to color in and I used Tim Holtz Oxide Distress Inks 'Amber' and 'Spiced Marmalade'.

My sentiment comes from a Technique Tuesday set called 'Umpteenth Birthday' and I think I'll have to be very careful who I send this card to!  Obviously someone very close who has a sense of humor!  LOL

I used a pencil eraser & Tim Holtz 'Spiced Marmalade' oxide ink to create the polka dots.
