Beautiful Inspiration . . .

Happy Weekend Friends!
Today I have a card to share that was inspired by crafting friend Ros (Mikey's Mom).  When I saw her card HERE earlier in the week, I just knew I had to case it!  So beautiful!  Ros has such a wonderful creative style!!  Here is my take on Ros's gorgeous creation ...

I must admit, I'm surprised it turned out as good as it did because, right off the bat I used the wrong paper to create the background.

My intention was to use my Tim Holtz oxide inks with what I thought was the correct paper.  (A new paper pack I bought from Simon Says after watching one of Jennifer McGuire's videos.)  So I went about using the oxide inks and wondered why it wasn't drying properly ... only to then look at the package and see it is designed for alcohol ink ... I must have ordered the wrong paper.  Ugh!

As I was cutting a piece to put behind my corner die cut, it was smearing so I took a cloth and wiped the excess from it.  I wasn't about to waste it so I added the piece behind the corner then die cut my butterflies & vine from the remaining piece.  With these additional elements I grabbed my alcohol inks and started playing around ... didn't turn out to shabby after all ... whew!

Then I die cut my sentiment from a scrap of light blue card stock.  Wasn't happy with how it looked so since I still had my alcohol ink dauber still laying on my work mat I dabbed over my words ... hmmm not too shabby either!  It will do!

The dies I have used today are:
Memory Box - Dies - Open Studio - Distressed Addington Collage
Sue Wilson Mini Expressions

Again, I'm so happy with the outcome of this creation and can't thank Ros enough for inspiration.
So many times I will see a card online and think "OMG that is beautiful, I need to save it for future inspiration" ?  At that point,  I either do it right there and then or pin it to my card inspiration board for future use.   Do you do that?
