To Brighten Your Day!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!

Earlier in the week, I was inspired by a card my friend Diane (Nellie's Nest) created with an OLD SU background stamp named 'Floral'.  She's in the process of removing her rubber stamps from their wooden blocks and storing them in such a manner as to give her a lot more storage space in her crafting room.   Quite an undertaking but will be great when it's completed.  And by doing this, she is able to use her stamping platform which really comes in handy since this is one of those stamps that needs stamped multiple time to get a good image.

It just so happens I had that exact same stamp (and several more) so I followed her lead and removed it from the wooden block and got to stamping.   It did take me reinking and stamping about 4 - 5 times before I was happy with the image coverage!  THIS is where the Tim Holtz stamping platform REALLY comes in handy!  I do remember having a problem getting a nice image ... always had missed spots in the center of my image and of course I couldn't line it up properly with it on the wooden block.  Hence the reason I haven't used it in YEARS.  But I did today ... thanks Diane!

Then I just sat down and had fun coloring with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I didn't want to cover up all that pretty background so I just added a simple sentiment.

And the background panel for my sentiment is from the Tutti Designs 'Nesting Stitched Rectangles die set.

Here are a few challenges to share in:
Color Inspiration Monday Challenge #33 - ATG w/hand colored image
Coloring in Scrapland - ATG / Spring
Get Creative Challenge #68 - No Patterned Paper (#2)
Path of Positivity Challenge #58 - ATG option/Pastels (add FT)

As I have time, I think I will remove a few more of my larger, background stamps from their wooden blocks.  Maybe that way, I will use them more often vs them just taking up space and gathering dust.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you've found inspiration in today's design!

As Always . . .
