To Brighten Your Day!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today I have a card to share that was created with some
new 'goodies' from the Dies R Us Store.
I hope it 'Brightens Your Day'!

The main focus of my design is this fun PoppyStamps 'Meadow Flower'
Poppystamps - Dies - Meadow Flower
which I have die cut three times from scraps of white card stock then colored using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Lawn Fawn - Large Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackables Dies
Lawn Fawn - Small Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackables DiesThe frame work was created using the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles - LARGE and SMALL.

The sentiment is from the Sue Wilson
'You Are My Sunshine' die set.

Sue Wilson Designs - Necessities Collection - You Are My Sunshine
It was die cut once from a scrap of yellow patterned designer paper,
then colored over using the CT4 Spectrum Noir yellow alcohol marker for added brightness.

The white frame was die cut twice and glued together with the flower stems in between.  The black frame was only die cut once.  The frame and some of the petals on the flowers were popped up using Scotch 3 dimensional tape.

The butterfly was in my stash and punched from a scrap of watercolor paper using the Martha Stewart 3-in-1 butterfly punch.  When I have scraps of the watercolor panels I create for background, I usually use this punch and keep them in a recycled  'Cow Cheese' container for future use such as today!

I really love how the colors came out on my flowers.  Many of my Spectrum Noir markers are drying up and I can't seem to find refills for all of them any longer.  I have the entire set of markers but only half the refills ... dang.  Anyways, the leaves/stems were colored with one of those markers that is slowly drying up ... but I used the fat end and got what I could out of it!  LOL   For the flowers I used the PL series ... PL1, PL2 & PL4 (#3 is dried up).  After one quick coat, I ran another coat or two along the edge to add dimension.

Ohhhh, these delicate, wispy flowers are soooo pretty! Love how you colored them, including the leaves and stems. Clever how you flipped the blooms, too. I don't need to wish you a happy weekend 'cause I know you're going to have a whole happy month. You're probably flying high right now. Enjoy!

The flowers are just stunning, that was the first thing that popped out at me looking at your card, they take center attention, love your watercolored butterfly with it too! I had an email about ink refills for spectrum but I deleted it, if I figure out where it was I will send a link
