Wood Block Wednesday Challenge

 Hello Friends

Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday challenge up and running and I've been trying to join in each month as it gives me the opportunity to play with all my old wooden block stamps which don't get the love they deserve since clear stamps came about.

The wood block stamps I've used today are old Stampin' Up stamps.
Crosshatch Background Stamp and the Close As A Memory stamp set.

I've used old SU Wild Wasabi card stock for my base card and coordinating ink for my image & sentiment accents.  A Tutti Designs ' Stitched Scallop Oval' die was used for the focus panel and Sue Wilson 'Stitched Flags' for the sentiment panel.  Nuvo Crystal drops were used as an accent and the sentiment flag was popped up with dimensional tape.

Why not pop over and check out her blog and play along ... you know you have wood block stamps that need some love just like I do!  LOL

Challenges to share in:
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #495 - DIECUTS and/or Stencils
Ally's Angels Challenge #95 - ATG

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day ahead!!

As always . . .

  2. It's a beautiful card and I recognized the floral was SU right away as I 'think' I have it too, that's a great background stamp too, so fun to get to use our woodblock stamps for a fun challenge!!

  3. Gosh, I used to have this background and soooo many others. That was before designer paper, sheesh. I whittled it down to 9 favorites and hardly touch them. I love how you put these stamps to use in such a beautiful way!
