Artsystamper Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello my friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Artsystamper Challenge Blog where the team is showcasing digital images designed by Beverly Cole at The Artsystamper Shop!   The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month brings another Artsystamper Challenge

and today's theme is:

Anything Goes

Even though our theme this time is anything goes, the design team is creating projects using Beverly's new Watercolor Florals Card Making Kit. 

This is a great kit for those folks 'just getting started' in card making and have yet to collect all the wonderful stamps, dies, inks, etc., etc. that we 'seasoned' crafters have acquired over time.

This kit comes complete with beautiful papers, pre-colored and need to color images that are in a .pdf format so you can print  them out as many times as you'd like. 

Here are just a few sheets I printed out to create with today!

You can start out very simply and work your way up to more layers

or if you're a seasoned crafter you can just GO FOR IT!!

 

But, before sharing my designs, did you know that at the moment there is a half price sale at The Artsystamper Shop - it is the perfect time to stock up on your card making digital stamps and papers.

Card #1 (Clean & Simple)

I've printed one of the patterned papers onto an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of white card stock then cut it to size to create my A6 size card.  Folded it in half which gave me a white inside panel for any sentiment, decorating I might want to do inside.   I then hand cut one of the oval images as well as one of the sentiments ... simply adhered them to the front of my card and VIOLA! 

A clean and simple design is always nice for a sympathy card and this card could be used for either a man or a woman.  The colors/image lend themselves to either gender!

NOW, FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE FANCIER . . .

Card #2

Another A6 size card but this time cut from white card stock and used the Artsystamper printed paper for my background design.  Using the floral for the full background and a scrap of the striped paper for an accent panel.  I've used the same image but this time I've used one of my oval dies for cut the image as well as the royal blue matted panel.  To pull it all together, I've used a green rectangular matting panel and also die cut it but from a different die set ... this time a scallop stitched rectangle.

Once again I have hand cut the sentiments from Beverly's coordinating sentiment sheet.  This time I decided to use the two coordinating panels together on the front leaving the inside blank for a long message to a close friend that I haven't seen for so long due to Covid-19.

Nuvo White Crystal Drops were added to the flower centers and at the corners of my green panel for a little extra dimension.

Tutti Designs - Blue Christmas Wishes

Hello Friends!

Today I have a card to share for the Tutti Designs Store using  another fun die from

their awesome July Christmas release.

The July Release die I have used is called

Reindeer Head

and I've showcased him on a silver metallic panel die cut from one of the dies in the

Scallop Stitched Nesting Ovals Set

All of the Tutti Designs Nesting Sets are AMAZING!  I use them ALL THE TIME!!

Be sure to take a peek at them ...

I've die cut my deer several times and glued them together for dimension (love doing that!).  Then I positioned scraps of glitter paper and die cut the antlers and lower snowflakes and glued them on top of my white panels. 

My sentiment, stars & poinsettia panels are from a holiday sticker sheet I had in my stash.

Here Comes Santa

Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!

Today I spotted a sketch challenge that I thought I'd like to do and share with you all.  It's a Christmas sketch so that will also help me continue to get my holiday cards done before the last minute.

 The sketch challenge I'm referring to is the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and here's their sketch:

 

I've used scraps of holiday designer paper from my stash for my stockings which is VERY old Spellbinder die set and a touch of Red Stickles for holiday sparkle.

My sentiment panel is a combination of two die sets:

Winter time slimline cards

Hello friends!

I'm headed over to Pennsylvania again shortly to finalize paperwork at the attorney's office on Mom's estate but before I go I wanted to share a couple more of those slimline cards that I had created & shared last week with the various backgrounds using stencils.  Here are 2 that I think turned out rather nicely ... what do you think?

 

 I have a couple end of the year birthdays and one is my Brother In Law so this might be a nice card for him. And, this second card would be useful for a birthday or just a note to cheer someone during those depressing winter months.

Double D Challenge - COLORFUL

Hello Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog and, it's another fun theme chosen by Diane ... also check out the amazing mood board she has designed to inspire you!

 Our theme is:

 COLORFUL

(we want to see LOTS of colors on your creation)

 Here's the mood board Diane has created . . .

I was in need of a boy's birthday card and we all know little boys love bright colors and frogs!  LOL  So here's what I came up with . . .

 I have used various scraps of paper from my 'left overs' box and

then created Froggy using the Karen Burniston 'Hoppy the Frog' die set (#909).

 My sentiments are from Tutti Designs and I've removed the 'a' and die cut the letter 'O' from an older Memory Box 'Classic Capital Font' die set to create my 'HOPPY' vs HAPPY sentiment.

Diane has this fabulous prize offered to one lucky winner.

Mix It Up Challenge - Foiling

Hello my friends!

A new month means a new challenge over on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.

Remember, this is a monthly Anything Goes challenge but with a fun twist that you can choose to join in on ... or not!  This month's theme is:

Anything Goes + FOILING

(Minc machine, foiled card stock or aluminum foil)

Here's what I've come up with using foil card stock.

 Unfortunately I don't have any of the current foiling machines, etc.

but I did have a pack of DCWV foil 6x6 papers so came 

up with this design ... great for a Fall Birthday!

For the banners I have used the Sue Wilson 'Stitched Flags' die set 

and for the background I've used a We R Memory Keepers embossing folder.

 The sentiment comes from Unity Stamp Itty Bitty 'Sweet Elle'

and the oak leaf accent is from the Tattered Lace 'Lavish Winter Foliage' die set.

Dies R Us Challenge - Back to School

Hello again my friends.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

Today's theme is:

Back to School

 WOW ... this theme was a real challenge for me!
At my age (don't ask ... don't tell lol)  I don't have much call
for Back to School cards so I really had to THINK about this card for awhile!

After looking through my dies, I came up with this creation using the following dies:

Frantic Stamper - Stack of Books


 Obviously I have a lot of dies ... AND a lot of papers!
I'm very happy with how it came together ... the ole' MOJOs working today!  LOL

Merry Little Christmas - Let It Snow!

Hello Everyone!

It's a new month and that means the start of a new monthly challenge

over on the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.

 

 

Today I have a fun 'snow themed' holiday card that was fun to create during these hot temperature days here in Ohio, USA.  I hope you like it!

To create my scene I have once again torn a scrap of white card stock to create the snow.  In fact, I used scraps of card stock for most of today's card.  The dies I've used are all from my Sue Wilson collections ...

For the background panel I've used

Triple Column (using just the inside portion)

My snowman & lamppost are from the 'Build A Snowman (CED3142)' set

and my sentiment is the mini expressions 'Let It Snow' set.

Here's an enlargement of the focus image ... can you see the added sparkle?

I've used Diamond Stickles in the center of each snowflake in the background as well as in the center of the holly on his hat.  Yellow Stickles for the lights in the lamp post and Waterfall Stickles along the edge of the snow mounds (see full photo above).

Also, the sentiment was die cut twice and glued together for added dimension.
