Happy Winter

 Hello Friends ...

Another holiday season is in the rear view mirror but here in NE Ohio, there is still a lot of snowy winter days ahead of us.  And from what I see on the news these days ... those snowy days are showing up in parts of the country that rarely see a snowflake.

Cold, snowy days make for an excellent time to play in my crafting cave.  So that's what I'm doing today!  I thought I'd check out the challenges available in blogland from the listing over on Paper Playful and here's a few that caught my eye.

  • CAS on Friday – 2W, E1, must be CAS - No. 300 WINTER  (W1 of 2)
  • Crafty Catz - 2W, 5E - No. 685 ANYTHING GOES WITH OPTIONAL TWIST CLEAN & SIMPLE (W1 of  2)
  • Daring Cardmakers  W, C5 – Sometimes may use One Word prompts for some challenges -  JOLLY CRAFTY CHRISTMAS TIME 2024/8 HAPPY  (W4 OF 4)  Extended Weeks for Break
  • My Time to Craft  2W 1st & 3rd Fri - No. 551 - USE A SENTIMENT  (W1 of 2)
  • Just Us Girls  W, E3   #757 - Masculine
  • The Male Room, M, must be for a male - CAS

The image I've used is from  the Too Much Fun Rubberstamps company and were purchased through the Adventures in Stamping Convention held here in Akron in April.  After cutting the image from the sheet, I tore an edge around it to give it more character.

The word HAPPY is a die from Tutti Designs and I've used Memory Box 'Classic Uppercase Alphabet' dies (#98361) to spell out the word Winter.

VIOLA ... my card is ready to write a message on the inside and send it to a friend who also lives in a snowy state that we haven't seen for awhile and I miss.  I usually call her from time to time but I think she'll be surprised with a message inside a homemade card.

Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!
    As always . . .

  1. Hello, Darlene, from north central IL! Two different snow systems passed through here last week but last weekend's just gave us a little but 30+ miles south of here, it was totally different! So yes, the snowy cold wintery weather is still here for awhile! The CAS style gives the focus on the deer plus I think most guys prefer a simplistic layout. Thanks for creating and sharing for MTTC's use a sentiment message theme! ~~ Becca

  5. I love that you're sending a message in this beautiful card! It's a dying art, but should be preserved. Your friend will be so pleased to receive it!
