Double D - Going GREEN

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

GOING GREEN
(anything GREEN)

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

WOW!  Here we are approaching St. Patty's Day already ... it will be grass mowing time again before we know it!  I'm okay with that ... I actually mowing the lawn ... always looks so nice in the spring after a cold, dreary winter.

Anyways ... Diane has a beautiful GREEN based mood board for us today and I just happened to have purchased a new paper pack that is basically green that I haven't torn into yet ... SO, today's the day!

The paper pack I am referring to is the 49 and Market pack called 'Cottagecore' ... sold at Scrapbook.com.  I actually purchased the 6x6 paper pack (which I don't see available at the moment) but they have others from this collection also ... I'll link you to the 6x8 collection  pack seen here.

I had to cut a strip off to achieve the size needed for my A6 card and since this paper is 2 sided, I was able to use that scrap piece to punch a couple corners for the right side of my card which helped to highlight this My Favorite Things sentiment stamp (from my Doni collection).  The sentiment was stamped using Tim Holtz 'Mowed Lawn' distress oxide ink.

  2. Beautiful papers which make a nice home for the large sentiment! I'm a 49 & Market fan and have several pads I haven't cut into yet, for shame. They're on my to do list. Once again, you've given me lots of inspiration!

  4. What a beautiful printed paper for this CAS card! I just took a peek at that paper pack and it is marvelous! I'm trying so hard not to buy any new paper packs until I've pared down some of what I already have. Seeing this card has made it super hard, as I now want to go shopping. How wonderful that you've used one of Doni's stamps for the sentiment. This is truly a special card!
