Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:
HALLOWEEN COLORS
and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .
My mind was going in so many different directions but I knew I did not want to do a Halloween card so this is what I came up with using strips of Halloween color strips of card stock to create my background.
Using the largest die in the Paper Rose (#16679) 'Stitched Rectangle Frames' die set (one of my favorite sets), I created the frame in black then die cut it again from white card stock to use for my inside panel.
I had this really cool Fall sticker from one of my sticker books and after adding her to the white inside panel, I did a little faux stitching and added a Hello die sentiment.
You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!
Such a sweet image and a great card. That striped background is wild!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use the Halloween colors in the background. She fits right in with the fall flowers and makes a sweet hello card.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fall themed gardening card--I get that! Love the pretty striped paper beneath!
ReplyDeleteA perfect card for fall, and the striped paper is perfect Halloween colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the sticker you found here!
ReplyDeleteWow, I just assumed that was patterned paper, it's so perfect! You found a beautiful sticker for the center and I love how you framed with the partial stitches. The Paper Rose die set you showed is a favorite of mine every time you use it, though I don't have it, myself. I just love the lattice panel.
