Double D - Color RED

 

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
 
Here's today's theme:
 
Use the color RED
 
and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .
 

 
 Using some OLD designer paper for today's card that I purchased at Hobby Lobby years ago.  Do you have as much beautiful designer paper as I do???   LOL  I could wall paper my house with as much as I have ... both small packs and 12x12 LOL
 

Anyways, this particular paper is from the Paper Studio and is called 'the Blue Barn'.  I've paired it with a Gina K Designs stamp set called 'Single Peony'.  The tag was die cut using one in the set from Tutti Designs called 'Stitched Nesting Tags'.

I've used Tombow markers for the coloring and a small piece of green satin ribbon for the top tie.

    A beautiful card with your pretty posy and if I didn't know better I'd swear that paper was made just for that stamp set, they mesh perfectly, such a pretty floral!

    Lovely card! The stamped peony is beautiful and colored perfectly. My red peonies are a favorite in the flower bed.

    Oh yes, I would venture to guess I have as much, or more, patterned paper as you do. I LOVE it, and tend to hoard it. Your card is lovely, I adore that big, beautiful red bloom, and the patterned paper behind it is perfect.

    Such a pretty card Dar! The paper matches the image you used so perfectly. I think as crafters we all can be guilty of having a stack of paper a mile high. I'm trying so hard to work on my stack as well. Trouble is, they keep coming out with more pretty designs that I think I just have to have. OY! Lovely card my friend!

    Your card is absolutely stunning! The red peony is so vibrant and beautifully colored, perfectly complemented by the designer paper. The attention to detail in your cardmaking truly shines through.
