SPRINGTIME DESIGNER PAPER at the Sisterhood

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme today is:

Springtime Designer Paper

Are you familiar with the Brutus Monroe papers?  They are beautiful and I've created the background for today's card using a panel from the 'Cherry Blossom' 6x6 paper pack.

I actually used up a few bits & bobs that were laying around my crafting cave to complete this card.  I had a few extra strips of white card stock that I was using for the 'fractured card technique' so spaced them out over top of my designer paper.

Then I spotted this Sue Wilson 'Indian Ocean Collection' (CED10011) frame hanging on my extras wall and thought it might look good.  It was a little longer than my A6 card so I cut the bottom part of the frame off and moved it up.

I didn't like how it matched up so I went to my collection of corner dies and spotted an OLD Memory Box die that I thought might work.  After die cutting it twice from a scrap of white card stock, I adhered it to the lower corners and viola ... perfect!

My focus flower group is a 3D Topper from Hearty Crafts that I just love.
This is one from their 'Spring Flowers' collection and I think worked beautifully.

Now all I need is a sentiment, so I went to my 'stash' of already stamped & die cut sentiment by Pink Fresh Studio and chose this particular one.  It's so nice to have these stamped in various colors and die cut so if I'm short on time I can reach in the box and viola!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  2. You really had me with the die, Darlene. I was thinking "spectacular", and then I read it's actually a combo you made up yourself. I really love what you did with it! I'm certainly loving the Brutus Monroe papers!
