Double D - Birthday

Here's my fun birthday card for today!

 

 A quick & easy girly card today using papers from an old Echo Park 'Imagine That' paper pack along with a few fun stickers from the Paper Studio.  The number 10 on each balloon came from my Creative Memories scrapbooking stash.  The floral side panel is actually the strip I cut from my 6x6 panel and is the flip side of my pick paper.    Some fun 'Waterfall' Stickles were used to add a touch of sparkle.

Stencil Fun Challenge (1/2026) - Anything with 4 Legs

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another fun challenge over on our Stencil Fun Challenge!

Remember, this challenge is all about using your STENCILS.
We are a MONTHLY challenge that begins on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month.
Theme will always be ANYTHING GOES USING STENCILS but we will also offer an OPTIONAL theme.

Here is the OPTIONAL theme chosen for this month:

 

 Anything with 4 legs

 

 

What little boy wouldn't like a birthday card with dinosaurs on it?  

For the background, I've used an older Tim Holtz 'birch' stencil (THS=069) and TH Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink.  My 'four legged' critter comes from a sheet of stickers purchased at Hobby Lobby.  The grass is a die from Cottage Cuts, the stamped sentiment is Endless Creations and the Stitched Flags are Sue Wilson (CED-4317).

 For my second card (Anything Goes)

 

 

 I had so much fun with this Bee themed card today!

I had this white oval Tutti Designs die cut laying on the work table and thought I could certainly 'do something with it'.  I first pulled out my old Memory Box 'Honey Comb' stencil and TH 'fossilized amber' distress oxide ink to create the background for these adorable little bees.  They are stickers from another sheet purchased at Hobby Lobby (great to have on hand for just such a time as today).  My background paper is from the Echo Park 'Bee Happy' 6x6 paper pack as is the sentiment.  My oval was matted using another very old die by Cherry Lynn Designs (no longer in business) called 'Swedish Spring Oval Frame'. 

 

 Hopefully you'll get those stencils out and have some fun with us.
We won't always have a prize but periodically we will, you just never know!

Neglected Stuff (1/2026)

Hello friends!

Today I have a project to share that was created for our newest
NEGLECTED STUFF CHALLENGE.

 The Neglected Stuff used today consists of:

 

An image from a very old Nellie's Choice Cutting Sheet called 'Vintage Waiting' (circa 2012).  I have SEVERAL of these vintage styled images in a drawer and even though I don't do a lot of vintage styled cards these days, it was nice to bring them out and go through them ... I think I see more vintage cards in my (near) future.

Peace on Earth Challenge #103

 Hello Friends and welcome back to my blog! 

SO happy you stopped by!

Today I have a card to share for the new challenge over on the PEACE ON EARTH CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE BLOG.  Of course the theme is Anything Christmas and we hope you'll come join in the fun! 

Here's a fun inspiration board we've created to help get you started ...

 

 My first thoughts for today's card were centered around the beautiful scene in the upper left corner of our mood board BUT, then I spotted this image among my Penny Black Premium Cardstock images and this beautiful 12x12 sheet of Ella & Viv 'Blue Christmas Kit' paper and went that direction instead!  

These items fit in perfectly for the inspiration from the image in the lower left corner of our mood board!

 

A pine branch die cut from the Sue Wilson 'Woodland Collection' (CED3101) and a little blue satin ribbon bow makes my card complete and ready to send.

Triple B (1/2026) Challenge

 Hello Friends!

Have you checkout our challenge blog called TRIPLE B?
It's all about using any of your stash but your project must have at least a BIRD, a BUTTERFLY or BLOOMS (flowers) visible on it.  Hence the title Triple B.

Here's this months inspiration board ...

 

 Here's what I've come up with . . .

 

 In looking through my toppers, I spotted this beauty and thought it would be perfect for today's challenge.  The topper of course is by Hearty Crafts and is called 'Butterflies and Flowers' (HC 13803).

 

 

The background paper is a pack from Honey Bee.  The extra leaves are from an old Heartfelt Creations die and the frame is by Paper Rose 'Stitched Rectangle Frames'  (#16679). 

 

Remember, our challenge begins on the 3rd of each month, ends on the last day of the month and Winner's are announced on the 2nd of each month.

Love Those Pretty Papers January 2026 Challenge

 Hello Dear Friends

It's a new month and that means it's time for a new challenge over on our
LOVE THOSE PRETTY PAPERS blog.

Today, our OPTIONAL theme is 

SNOWMAN.
 
Diane & I will be sharing a Themed pretty paper card as well as an Anything Goes card.

 Here's my card using today's THEME:

 

 I let the Echo Park 'White Christmas' 6x6 paper pack do the heavy lifting for today's card.  
All the papers and including the sentiment panel came from this paper pack.
The only thing extra I did was to die cut a few snowflakes for embellishment.

 This is an older paper pack that I purchased during one of their fabulous sales so not sure if it's still available for purchase.  But they have several fabulous other holiday packs still available.

 Now for my 2nd card (anything goes) ... 

Using up some OLD 12x12 designer paper to create some 'card sets' for my sale boxes.

After stamping the Simon Says sentiment from scraps of white card stock, I decided to add & watercolor this Altenew floral stamp image.  I think it adds just that little 'something'.

Simply Clean & Simple (1/2026) - Use Something NEW

Hello my friends and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card to share for our challenge blog using the CAS (clean & simple) design style. 
Our blog is called Simply Clean & Simple and today's OPTIONAL theme is:

 

 Use Something New

 

Here's what I have to share with you today . . .

 

  

Late last summer, I purchased (thanks to BFF and enabling friend Diane H ... lol) several packs of the Katy Sue 3D Die Cut Collage packs (I purchased mine on Amazon) and I've finally opened & prepped a couple panels from one of the many sheets in this 'Floral Collection' pack.  There will obviously be MORE TO COME as there are THREE sheets of each of the four beautiful images shown on the bottom of the sheet below.  

 

 Today's card was created using the smaller (only a couple dimensional pieces) bird image.  The larger image with all it's beautiful popped up pieces will be showcased at another time. 

 

For my background, I embossed a white card stock panel using the Spellbinder 'Forevergreen' A2 embossing folder (SES-026).

Remember, our challenge is Anything Goes CLEAN & SIMPLE but we do offer an OPTIONAL theme.  You have until the 28th to share your CAS design into our challenge blog.

TOB January 2026 Challenge

 

 Hello friends and thanks for stopping by today!

It's time once again for a new monthly challenge over on the
Two Old Bats Halloween Blog!

Just wait until you see what the team has created ... OMG!!  And to help us get our mojo going, Diane (yep, my Old Bat partner) has created this fabulous inspiration board. . .

 

 Here's what I've created for you today . . .

 The Brutus Monroe 'Vintage frights' paper pack is so awesome (unfortunately it's been discontinued).  I really didn't need anything more than a sentiment for today's card creation.  I was inspired by the old spooky mansion in the upper left corner of our mood board and this paper was just perfect!!

 

My BOO sentiment die is an oldie but goodie from Impression Obsession and I've die cut twice then off set the colors for dimension.

 Just to refresh your memory ... here's a recap of how things are done on our blog.

January 2026 - First Cup Challenge Time

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the First Cup Challenge Blog!

 Remember to check out the rules for this fun challenge in the TAB under the header over on the First Cup Challenge Blog titled 'But first ... some rules'.

Here's what I came up with for today's card . . .

Nothing is better on a cold, snowy January day then a hot toddy ... or cocoa, coffee or tea lol!

I've used designer paper from the Your Next Stamp 'Crazy for Coffee' 6x6 paper pad, a couple 'snowy' dies from my stash and this fabulous 3D topper from the Hearty Crafts 'Coffee Cups' set.

Four Seasons Challenge - Winter (1/2026)

Over at the Four Seasons Challenge Blog, we are ready for a change in seasons! 
This months theme is:

Anything Goes - Winter

check out this fabulous inspiration board we have created to help inspire you . . .

 

 Today's card was inspired by the snowy background in the above mood board images!

I went with one of the images I purchased at the Adventures in Stamping convention that comes here to Akron, Oh every April.  The company name is TooMuchFun Rubber Stamps out of Indiana.

 For the center panel I used an old Martha Stewart Icicle punch and the snowflake sentiment panel is a die set by Sue Wilson 'Festive Collection' - Snowflake Corner, Border & Tag.  (CED3019).  I don't see online where this set is anywhere still available.  I also used one of the stamps from a very old 'Verve' stamp set and, I think they are out of business also.

Word Power (1/2026) Challenge

It's time for a new challenge over on our WORD POWER challenge blog!

Here's what I've created for you today . . .

 I've had some fun with border dies for this card.  
Late last summer I ordered a few new ones from scrapbook.com and made up a variety of 'base cards' just waiting to be turned into quick & easy mailing cards.  The border used is by Paper Rose and is called 'Wedding Blooms Collection'.  The sentiment is from my 'Doni Collection' (my friend who passed away and left her stamps to me) ... it's an oldie from My Favorite Things.

 

 You have until the LAST Thursday of the month to enter.
