Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Numbers

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Numbers

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on your projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

Today I've used the Lisa Horton 3D Balloon High 5x7 embossing folder & die set for the main focus of my card.

Lisa Horton Crafts - 3D Embossing Folder with Coordinating Dies - Balloon High

After embossing from a white card stock panel, I watercolored each balloon using Tombow markers, water & artist brush then die cut with the coordinating die.  Then, I once again ran it through the embossing folder before adding it to my card front.

The background paper is an OLD 12x12 sheet purchased either at JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby years ago that I spotted in my stash.  The large Tutti Designs circle die was hanging on my 'extras' pegboard and I thought it would draw attention to this balloon bouquet nicely.  A little white ribbon was also 'laying around' so added it for additional texture & dimension.

The numbers were achieved by diving into my old Creative Memories scrapbooking stash for number/letter stickers.

I do hope you'll come check out our challenge blog and play along.

Double D - Wings

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

WINGS

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

Oh my goodness ... so many directions I could have gone in today but I decided to look through my 'Doni Collection' and see what she had that might work.  I spotted this cute image/sentiment and got busy.

This image is from a company which closed in 2017 called Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.
I used Tombow markers for the coloring and fussy cut it once colored to position atop of my Blue Knight Rubber Stamps 'Night Sky Set' designer paper panel.  Lime Green Nuvo Drops were used for an accent.

(SECRET ... Shhh!  I actually made this card for another one of our challenge blogs then realized I had totally missed the main theme of the challenge!  DUH!!  LOL)

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!

Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Birthday

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Birthday

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on your projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

Today I've used a beautiful embossing folder by Paper Rose called 'Leafy Garden'.  This is a 3D folder and is 5x7 in size.

My beautiful sentiment is a stamp/die set by Heartfelt Creations and was an RAK from my crafting friend Sandy in North Carolina.  Coloring was done with Tombow markers.  The butterflies are from an AALL & CREATE 'lairy wings' pack of ephemera die cuts and were popped up with dimensional tape.

Special Party Guest

 Hello Friends!

I have some exciting news to share today!

I was honored to have been chosen as one of the Top Picks for Elli Belle's Garden Party No. 18 and being asked to be a Special Party Guest for today's Garden Party over on Ellibelle's Corner.  What a thrill!

Here's what I've created for this fun occasion . . .

The designer papers I've used for my card are from the Paper Rose 'Dear Isabella' collection.  The corner flower embellishments are stickers from Soto Studios and my sentiment is from The Stamp Pad.

Here's a peek at the inside using a few scraps from that same Paper Rose paper pack.

Double D - Windows

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

WINDOWS

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

What a fun theme idea!  Thanks Diane!

Here's what I've come up with using a variety of goodies in my stash  . . .

First I decided upon this Window from the Paperie 'Golden Harmony' paper cut outs for the main focus.  I had some old window dies but thought I'd go a different route today.

    Stamperia - Golden Harmony Collection - Paper Cut-Outs - Double-Face - 4 Sheets

Next I went through a couple of my sticker books and found this beautiful Fall scene in the Autumn Garden book.  I placed it onto a scrap of white card stock then positioned my paper cut out window over top.  Tracing around the window and cutting the scene to fit within the outline of the window.  I used dimensional tape on the backside of the window before adhering to the sticker scene.

Now to decide what to use for my background.  I have so many beautiful Fall paper packs but the Brutus Monroe 'Fallfoliage' was what I was looking for! (Sadly this paper pack has been discontinued ... don't ask me why ... it's gorgeous!)  I even got hubby's opinion on which side of this beautiful Fall paper to use with my window scene ...that's always a tough decision when working with 2-sided papers.

I used a couple of my Tombow markers to add a touch of coordinating color on the sides of the middle white panel.  My sentiment was created using Scrapbook.com 'Uptown' alphabet dies.

Scrapbook.com - Decorative Die Set - Alphabet and Number Bundle - Uptown

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Challenges to share in:

Stencil Fun Challenge (10/2026) - Orange

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another fun challenge over on our Stencil Fun Challenge!

Remember, this challenge is all about using your STENCILS.
We are a MONTHLY challenge that begins on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month.
Theme will always be ANYTHING GOES USING STENCILS but we will also offer an OPTIONAL theme.

Here is the OPTIONAL theme chosen for this month:

 Orange
(The Fruit or the Color)

I've used a Creative Expressions Mini 'Bubbles' stencil and TH 'Spiced Marmalade' distress oxide ink to create my side decorate panel and a sticker from the Autumn Garden sticker book I purchased online for the focus of today's card.  The sentiment is from the TON.

For my second card (Anything Goes)

Now here's a stencil I've had 'for awhile now' and have never used.  It's by Brutus Monroe and is called 'Spooky Haunts' (BRU9634-2).

Brutus Monroe - Stencils - Spooky Haunts

I've used some VERY OLD 12x12  Halloween paper I purchased years ago for color and inked my stencil in TH distress oxide 'Black Soot' ink.  I cut a panel from that same designer paper to use as my sentiment.

Challenges to share in for Card #2
