Wood Block Wednesday Challenge

 Hello Friends

Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday challenge up and running and I've been trying to join in each month as it gives me the opportunity to play with all my old wooden block stamps which don't get the love they deserve since clear stamps came about.

The wood block stamp I've used today is probably one of the earliest stamps I purchased at a local craft store called Pat Catan's (no longer exists unfortunately bought out by Michaels).  I'm sure it was in the $1 bin and is by Anita's which was a Sugarloaf Inc. company out of GA.

I used a scrap panel of 'water' designer paper from the Amy Designs 'underwater' paper pad for the background and after stamping this cute guy twice I used Tombow markers for my coloring.  Scrapbook.com Typewriter Alphabet dies for the sentiment.

Challenges to share in:

Pearly Sparkles Challenge #120 - This Makes Me Smile (ends 6/30)
Send a Smile 4 Kids June Challenge - Summer Fun Cards 4 Kids (ends 7/3)  Chosen to be upcoming Guest Designer
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Anything But a Birthday (ends 7/3)
Alphabet Challenge - D is for Double (2 of the same thing) [ends 6/25] TOP 3 Winner

Why not pop over and check out her blog and play along ... you know you have wood block stamps that need some love just like I do!  LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day ahead!!
As always . . .

  1. What a wonderful summer-inspired card, I just love the pair of fish underwater. The background paper couldn't be more perfect for your main motif, and the universal sentiment makes the card suitable for so many different occasions. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
