Time to Color the Eggs . . .

Happy Palm Sunday Everyone!
Yep ... almost time to get those eggs colored!
One more week before the Easter Bunny comes hoppin', hoppin, hoppin, down the bunny trail!

Today's a new challenge at 613 Avenue Creates.
Remember, the challenges at 613 Avenue Creates are always ANYTHING GOES ... but with a TWIST.  You can join in either way ... using the twist or not!
TODAY HOWEVER ... there is NO TWIST!

Before I share my card I want to thank Chana/Kathi and the 613 Avenue gang for a wonderful
and neighborly good time these past few months.  This will be my last card as a 613 Avenue
team member and I just want them to know how much I appreciate what they are
doing and how they treat their team members!  Keep up the good work ladies!
Thanks so much!

We have some fabulous sponsors and
my DT card for today was created with a fun image from

called 'Easter Artist'.

I had a lot of fun coloring this image with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers!
And, there are 2 background panels (one vertical, one horizontal) that I created using various distress inks and sponge daubers.  My full background is 'tie die' design paper by Recollections.
And of course I just had to add a touch of sparkle, so I grabbed various colors of Stickles to adorn this beautiful Cheery Lynn Designs egg die cut.

So why not come join in the fun!
We look forward to seeing your creations!

Challenges to share in today:

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a FABULOUS day!
God Bless You All!

613 Avenue Creates

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Creates.
Did you know it is National Caffeine Awareness Month??
Yep ... so I've been told!
That is today's TWIST to our Anything Goes Challenge.
(use something with caffeine:  coffee, tea, soda, chocolate ... you get the picture)
I don't do excessive caffeine like Starbucks coffee ... but I do like my chocolate!!
So that's the direction I took for today's card.

This Fitztown bunny called 'Cutie 5' looks like he may have dipped into a few too many
of those chocolate chips when he was making cookies!  LOL!  Awww but look how cute ... he's even offering the one he has in his hand to you!

Fitztown is only one of the three sponsors we are happy to have today!  Be sure to jump over to our 613 Avenue Creates blog to see the other sponsors and what the team has created using their wonderful offerings!

Here's a peek at the inside of my card.  I computer generated the inside sentiment as well as the 'Happiness is:' sentiment on the front of my card.

I added a little extra dimension to my card by putting a bit of a twist/bend into my fence before perching a few birds here & there.

There are so many things I can think of to be happy for today ... the bag of Hershey Chocolate Nuggets sitting on my table (extra energy ya know), the sound of birds outside my window churping for me to please come put more seed in the feeders, my good health, my wonderful family ... but most of all the many friendships I have made here in blogland and around the world through my crafting!  LIFE IS GOOD!!!

We would love to have you come share your creations with us at 613 Avenue Creates.
We are an ANYTHING GOES challenge but always offer a twist if you're feeling adventurous!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Here's wishing you an AMAZING week ahead!
As always ...

Recipe:
Papers:  White cs, Ivory cs, Hot Pink cs, Goldenrod cs, scraps of cs for birds, Hot Off The Press 'chocolate chip' dp

613 Avenue Creates with Dr. Seuss

Hello friends and welcome back!
Today I have a DT card creation for 613 Avenue Creates to share
and WOW did I have fun creating this one!
Did you know that tomorrow, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's Birthday!
Well it is so we not only get to play with some fun images from our sponsors,
but we also are sharing some fun Dr. Seuss sayings!
The sponsor I'm showcasing today is Melonheadz  and an image from the adorable set called Four Seasons Lucy Doris combo pack.

OMG how cute is Lucy!!
It looks like she's already for those April showers that are right around the corner!

This is as CAS (clean and simple) as my designs get!  LOL!
My background panel was created by simply scribbling the lower portion (grass) with my DG3 Spectrum Noir marker and the upper portion (sky) with my TB1 marker.
After printing her out at 5" tall, I simply colored her using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, fussy cut out her silhouette then popped her up.

She looks so happy I figured rain or shine she was having fun so I chose
THIS particular Dr. Seuss sentiment.
If you're looking for some fun today, why not come join in our challenge!
Remember, we are an ANYTHING GOES challenge that offers a TWIST!
So whether you choose to use the twist or not, you are welcome to come join in the fun!!!

A few challenges to share in today are:

Mod Squad Challenge - Spring Ahead

Thanks for stopping by!
As always . . .

Color Bingo at 613 Avenue Creates

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time for a new FUN challenge at 613 Avenue Creates!
Today's theme is a fun one ... Color Bingo!

and our sponsors are

and

I have the pleasure of creating with one of Inky Impressions adorable images today.  Do you know that 'Inky Mama' lives right up the road from me in Cleveland!  LOL!  Unfortunately I never get to see her except at the stamp conventions ... she is so busy!  But I'm happy to showcase one of her sweet images on my card today.  ALSO did you know that these images were created using her daughters as the 'models' ... yep and her husband is a fabulous guy!  Always have to swing by and say Hi when I get to the Adventures in Stamping Convention held here in Akron every April!
Anyways ... here's my card:

I chose to use the colors on the bottom row for today's card (pink, purple, blue).
I started out with a white A6 card then saw the stack of tri-shutter cards I already had cut and ready to decorate on my side table and thought this pretty paper from Kaiser Craft (Violet Crush Collection) would be perfect to showcase my 'LiLi Blowing Bubbles' image.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
You will have two weeks to play and if you need inspiration, be sure to pop over and check out the awesome creations designed by my team mates!
ALSO WANT TO MENTION ... we are still looking for a few new designers!

First Day of Winter

Hello Blogging Friends!
ARE YOU READY?
Christmas is only a couple days away!
But before all that fun begins, I like to share a card I made for the fun challenge going on at

Did you know it REALLY IS the First Day of Winter??
Well it is!  And, with that being said, our twist today is .  .  .  USE SNOWFLAKES

Today our sponsor is:
Rick St. Dennis

http://www.zibbet.com/Rick1949

And I've created a fun SNOWY card using his image called 'North Pole Sign'.
To create the background for my card I've simply sponging varies blue shades of Tim Holtz distress ink onto my card front, then attached torn strips of scrap white card stock to create my 'snow banks'.    I've used an old SU snowflake stamp, Diamond Stickles and a Martha Stewart snowflake punch to create my snowy atmosphere.
By coloring this adorable image then fussy cutting & popping him up ... it appears it's sitting outside in the snow at the North Pole!

I can't wait to see YOUR snowflake creation when you join in the fun at 613 Avenue Create!
Remember our challenge is always ANYTHING GOES with a TWIST ... I hope you'll try the twist ... so much fun and it will get you extra attention!

A few challenges I'd like to share in today are:
Allways Something Creative - Merry Christmas
Animal Friends Challenge - Everything Goes with an Animal
Cards Galore Challenge - Anything Goes
Craft and Smash Challenge - Christmas, Winter, Ice
Lady Bug Crafts Challenge - Baby it's Cold Outside/Merry Christmas

Now I'd better get busy ... I'm sure you're caught up and all ready for Santa!
But, I on the other hand seem to be a bit behind this year!  Hmmmm might have something to do with 'age'!  LOL!  Either way ... time to go!  Catch you later and as always . . .
