Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:
Music, use sheet music, musical instruments,
anything to do with music, you can even let a song
inspire you, just tell us what song it is
anything to do with music, you can even let a song
inspire you, just tell us what song it is
and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .
Back in the day when I first starting card making, Vintage was my favorite design style and I collected all sorts of papers, images, etc., etc. When I saw today's theme was Music, I knew I had some goodies in that old box that I could use for today's card. I don't have company names, etc for everything I used but am very happy with how this came together ... I hope you like it too!
The sentiment stamp is by the Stampabilities company and is circa 2004.
You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!
Beautiful card, Darlene. The collage of different sheet music and angles add great interest to the design. The pop of red is really a nice touch to the chic, vintage look. Amazing what we keep in our stash for so long...
ReplyDeleteAwe, I love this sentiment. It is great for the musical card, but I could see other used too. I love the layers and that tag!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked this challenge with your vintage style, Dar! This card is fabulous. I love the play on patterns and all the layers, and of course, that darling vintage image. You should do more of this style. I for one, can never get enough of vintage. ;0)
ReplyDeleteVery creative and perfect for our musical challenge, looks as though all the 'parts' were made for each other!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love the collage style background, a wonky placed panel and a Tag....this card has it all! Fantastic! Beautiful sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning I made a lot of vintage, too. I hardly ever made a cute card. Things change! However, I still love the vintage style. Hmmm, you've got my wheels turning again. It's nice that you still have the goods to create such a lovely vintage card. I'm looking at all your layers and parts and loving it a lot!
