Fall colors are SO STRIKING!!!
Growing up on a small farm, our pasture field was filled with maple & oak trees ... fall was my favorite time to take a walk in our woods. There's still a peace that comes over me when I think of those childhood days! My sister's and I used to help Dad down in the woods cleaning up branches and such that had come down through the year. It was work but didn't seem like it at the time with the coolness of Fall and the beautiful colors surrounding us.
I just had to use this image as it reminded me so much of the tall maple trees behind our barn. These are actually stickers from a 'sticker book' called Autumn Garden that I purchased online. Quick & easy cards to create plus minimal postage required.
I used a couple circle dies to showcase this image and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful fall scene, and I enjoyed reading about your childhood memory of working out in the woods in the fall. Life just seems like it was so much simpler back then, doesn't it? I loved raking the leaves into big piles and then jumping in them. Something we now do for our sweet little Mr. "C". It's so much fun watching him play in the leaves.

Wow, it's the way you put those stickers together -- beautiful! I felt I was right back there on the farm with you as I read your memories. I love a beautiful woodland of any kind, but with oak and maples, sigh... so peaceful.
