Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!
We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...
Lucky / St. Patrick's Day
Remember, the twist is optional
but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the
prize. Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with
an embossing folder.
Here's what I've created to inspire you today.
Wow ... had to do some thinking and searching on this one lol.
I don't seem to have much in my stash for St. Patty's but I had recently purchase some 12x12 papers for a tissue box cover order so I did have those to play with. This card was actually made up completely from those papers.
One sheet was all St. Patty's gnomes so I picked the ones I liked and did a little fussy cutting for my focus image and the shamrock between them.
As you can see, I've embossed both the green plaid background panel and the white panel my gnomes are housed on.
I've used one of my all time favorite folder and actually the very first embossing folder I ever purchased (I think EVERYONE bought this folder). The Cuttlebug Provo Craft 'Swiss Dot' embossing folder.

The embossed layers and the gnome embellishments are delightful, and the use of the Swiss Dot embossing folder adds such a charming texture. Your creative take on the St. Patrick's Day theme is truly inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorably cute, bright and cheerful, would brighten up anyone's day! My favorite folder too, in fact I think I need a new one as I have used it so much it has a crack in it lol!
ReplyDeleteYou pulled it off perfectly. I love all that green. Luscious and wonderful xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea to use the dotted EF with your squares of green-and-black. I am also smitten with the contrast of "borders" that have a white background compared to the darker plaid. Thanks for the inspiration I've pinned! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design and great use of the Cuttlebug embossing folder. My dotted one was used so much that it fell apart so since then I bought the Gina K Designs one. Your card is gorgeous and a great way to use leftovers too!
ReplyDeleteYour gnomes are just delightful, and what a fun St. Patrick's Day card you created with the patterned papers! And yes, I have that Swiss Dot embossing folder--and it's been a favorite for years! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pair of gnomes - love the deep shades of greens. Thanks for sharing with us at MTTC :)
