Just saying "Hello"

Happy Monday Everyone!
Did you see that Super Bowl last night?
Last half was pretty exciting!  Just goes to show ...
It's NOT over TILL it's over!!
(those who follow football will understand!  [wink wink])
Congrats once again to the New England Patriots!!

Anyways ... anyone who knows me knows I enjoy a good sketch challenge and
I look forward to seeing what the Mojo Monday sketch looks like each week.
But today I came upon a sketch challenge over on Great Impressions

that I thought I'd join in on.  You get extra credit if you use their
stamps and I knew I had a few in my stash ... so here goes!

I must admit, since I've gotten involved with die cuts, I
don't use my stamps nearly as much as I once did!  So this challenge
gave me to opportunity to get inky & creative all at the same time!

I've used two Great Impressions stamps that are very old.  They are #G298
and #G304 (Sea Grasses).  I thought they would work good together for my focus
image and then decided they would be equally as good as my background
so created a background panel then cut it to accommodate the sketch.

I've used a fine tip black marker to do the faux stitching
which I think helped accent the sketch design also.
The butterflies are from the Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterfly Punch
and my sentiment is by Technique Tuesday.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
As always . . .

very pretty card! I feel ya about the stamping versus die cutting. I feel like I haven't stamped in a while. I also have and acquired some new Great Impressions stamps that are very old. I need to pull them out! Have a great day!

Oh you definitely should stamp more, this is fabulous! Your colors are amazing, I really love them! The split background is wonderful, perfect stamp choices. I REALLY love this! And of course we watched that game! OMG!!! You couldn't have written a more perfect (and unbelievable) script! And to be honest I never lost hope, even as I was biting my nails through the 1st three quarters--along with the rest of New England. NEVER ever give up.....on anything! xo~

Wow! All that with stamps... way to go, Darlene, and sooo pretty! I'm sure I still have some Great Impressions stamps. This is awesome! We don't watch football, but I heard about the game and it sounds amazing. I know how exciting it can be to a sports fan as I remember when our son was playing sports in school. I screamed myself silly!

Oh my, this is so beautiful! You are quite the stamper!

Oh the design of this card is beautiful Darlene! Really like how you lay out your stamp. Great use of it! I've asked me what part of Ohio, I'm in Columbus area. So we're just about 2 hours away from each other :) Take care.
