Thank You

 Happy Monday!

I have a card for you today that was created for the color challenge over on the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #715 using these colors.

I went through my SU scraps and found these exact colors but once again my phone camera wants to make the colors 'brighter' than they actually are ... grrr.  Oh well I like the card and it will be good to have in my sale boxes for November.

Going to be a busy week so I'd better get busy!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

Peace on Earth Challenge #118

Hello Friends and welcome back to my blog!
SO happy you stopped by!

Today I have a card to share for the new challenge over on the PEACE ON EARTH CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE BLOG.  Of course the theme is Anything Christmas and we hope you'll come join in the fun!

Here's a fun inspiration board we've created to help get you started ...

I recently purchased a 'different' (for me as I'm a traditionalist) sort of holiday papers and thought it might work for today's inspiration board suggestions.  What do you think?

The paper pack I'm referring to is by Paper Rose and is called 'Christmas Holidays'.

 Paper Rose - 12 x 12 Collection Pack - Christmas Holidays

I paired it with an Adirondack chair die by IO that's been in my stash for years and die cut it from red card stock.  Then I cut the sentiment from one of the little square images in the set and matted it with scraps of red & green card stock.

Did you spot the Christmas presents in the lower left corner?

PLEASE be sure to pop over to THE BLOG and check out the amazing designs our design team has created for your inspiration.  What a group of talented ladies!!  Then come join in the fun!!

Color Challenge

 Hello All

Can you believe we have come to the end of yet another week!  Good grief they are going by fast!!  I was working on some scrap backgrounds and thought I'd quickly join in on the color challenge over on The Paper Players blog.  Here's the colors for this #798 challenge which is ending in the next couple of hours.

I can't tell you  how many photos I tool trying to get the blues to show correctly but then finally gave up!  The fact that I now have to take my photos with my phone (camera died), you'd think I'd get true colors but NOoooo ... grrr!    But rest assured, I did use these exact colors!

You can see at the bottom of my card where the teal is teal vs royal blue (as it looks on the top).

Anyways, I created the background using up scraps and added a sentiment from the Katy Sue Birthday Peelables I purchased on Amazon.  The chipboard flower is from the Paper Studio, purchase at Hobby Lobby.

Here's wishing you a fabulous weekend ahead!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

 Hello my friends!

Our theme today is:

 Sports

Soccer seems to be the rage these days so that's the 'sport' I went with today!

I've used a 12 x 12 sheet of grass dp for the background, the words are from my stash of Creative Memories sticker letters/numbers and the soccer ball/cleats die is an old die by Joy! Craft.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Colorful Birthday Greetings

 Happy Tuesday Friends!

It's a rainy day today (thankfully as we really could use it) so I thought it would be a good opportunity to spend some time in my crafting cave playing along in a few challenges for the upcoming week and get ahead of the game on all the 2027 DT cards I need to create.

So, today I'm playing along in the Colorful Options Challenge ... here's their inspiration board . . .

Last week I took an afternoon and created several background panels using up more of the scraps that have been accumulating on my work table.  I've used one of those panels for today's creation.   What do you think?

I had one more small panel in the scrap box so used it for my sentiment panel.  The narrow piece I cut off I used to create the coordinating corner triangles ... that's the nice thing about double sided coordinating paper ... so many ways to use it.

Lastly I went into my Prima flowers and found a few that matched along with a couple leaves to adorn the opposite corners.  Nuvo crystal drops were used for the flower centers and VIOLA!

Challenges to share in:

Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Tie It Up

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Tie It Up

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on your projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

I've used an OLD Stampin' Up color card stock & coordinating ribbon called 'Really Rust' (do you remember those older SU Fall colors) for my card base and accent ribbon.  The embossing folder used is an old Darice folder called 'Leaf Border'.  I used a couple Tombow markers to give Fall color to the embossed leaves after choosing this lovely lady from one of my sticker books and a couple chipboard leaves from Stamperi.

I do hope you'll come check out our challenge blog and play along.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

Simply Clean & Simple (8/2026) - Nature

Hello my friends and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card to share for our challenge blog using the CAS (clean & simple) design style.
Our blog is called Simply Clean & Simple and today's OPTIONAL theme is:

 Nature

There are so many things in Nature that excite me and two of them are butterflies & flowers.  For today's card I have incorporated both of them.

The Hearty Crafts toppers have many beautiful themes with flowers & butterflies and this is one from their 'Butterflies on Branches' set  (#HC14300).

Hearty Crafts Easy 3D Topper - Butterflies on Branches

Even though I wanted to keep my card simple by using one image & a circle, oval or rectangle to anchor the image, I wanted to do something a little different with the corner and came up with this idea.

While going through my binder of corners, edges & borders dies I spotted this OLD PoppyStamps 'Clara Corner' (#1411) and cut it on a scrap of cardstock to see what it looked like (talk about neglected ... probably haven't used this die in at least 10 years).  What do you think?  Like it?
Must admit, much prettier in person!

I have a few hooks on my pegboard that holds unused die cut ovals, circles, square & rectangles.  These come in handy when I have a design such as this in mind!    This is a Tutti Designs 'Stitched Scallop Circles' die.

Remember, our challenge is Anything Goes CLEAN & SIMPLE but we do offer an OPTIONAL theme.  You have until the 28th to share your CAS design into our challenge blog.

Hope to see you at SIMPLY CLEAN & SIMPLE!

Once again, I've gone with one of the fun 'Funny Bones' by Riley & Company sentiment stamps from my 'Doni Collection'.  She had the sentiment that went so well with my old Cheery Lynn Designs 'Police' dies.  I've used a ruler & black fine tip marker to create the jail house stripes on the frame.

Double D - Feathers

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

FEATHERS

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

 Here's what I've created today ...

I seem to always be in need of sympathy cards these days so thought the 'feathers' theme would work well for a masculine sympathy card.   Though hard to see in the photo, I've used a brown 'leather' like background card stock then splattered my white panel using Tattered Angel 'Bronze' Glimmer Mist.

The feathers came from the Stamperia 'Forest' paper cut outs and I used some very old brown Hemp for the accent.  My sentiment is by Creative Imprints Rubber Stamps which I picked up at the Adventures in Stamping Convention a few years back.

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!
