Dies R Us - Springtime Songbird

WOW can you believe we are on the last day of 2016 ...
Today I have a card to share that was created for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog using dies carried at the Dies R Us Store!    I know we who are in the northeastern part of the USA are in the middle of winter ... but it's never too early to start thinking of warmer days that consist of flowers and birds singing in the trees.  Hence the inspiration for today's creation.

I recently purchased the Sue Wilson 'Indian Ocean Collection - Background' die set (#CED10011) and couldn't wait to use it on a card.  My card size is 5x7 and there are actually pieces to this die set that I did NOT use ... it's a 7 piece set!
Sue Wilson Designs - Indian Ocean Collection - Background
I had a large scrap piece of designer paper in my stash from another project and thought possibly it would give me the springtime look I was after so used it as the background as well as some of the other pieces (inside rectangular panel ... sunflower).
Here are the panels I cut and used for the background on my card.

Other dies I've used for the foreground of my card are:

Impression Obsession - Dies - Bird On Branch
Cheery Lynn Designs - Sunflower

Sue Wilson Designs - Petite Peony Cluster

For the floral element, I die cut the Cheery Lynn Designs Sunflower three times ... one time each from dark green card stock, white card stock and the daisy designer paper.
Next I shaped the designer paper panel petals and stacked them being sure to offset them just a bit so all layers are seen.

After placing the peony cluster in the bottom right corner I felt the sunflower needed a little 'something' so I die cut another peony cluster from the dark green card stock ... cut it apart and tucked it in around the sunflower!  Awww that's better!  LOL

Dies R Us - Believe

Hello  Friends and once again MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have a second post for you today and this card is for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  It reminds us all to BELIEVE!!

In today's scene I'm thinking the two deer in the center are is awe of the majestic buck prancing around in front of them (the one with the red nose ... hmmm wonder what his name is) and do they dare to BELIEVE they could be as majestic one day.  Or maybe even fly through the skies pulling a Christmas sleigh like Santa's reindeer.

 The dies I've used today are . . .

I must confess I had some pieces and parts laying on my work table that I used to create today's card. Here's a few points of interest on creating today's card:
As you can see, once I die cut the Winter Woodland Panel, there were several OPEN areas.  I wanted to use a royal blue foil paper for the sky and just white card stock for the snowy ground.  To accomplish this, I laid my Winter Woodland Panel on a sheet of the foil paper and used the tip of my tweezers to lightly score the horizon line then cut it out with my swivel craft knife.  Then, glued the panel to the foil panel creating my sky.
Since I was going to mat the entire panel, I need to fill in my 'open ground' areas with white card stock to mimic snow.  So, I simply glued on a scrap panel of white card stock and cut off the excess around the edges.

VIOLA!!

Tutti Designs - Merry Christmas!

Happy Sunday Everyone
and
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Today it's my turn to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.  Tutti has released so many amazing dies recently but I decided to create today's card using a die from an earlier release.

When is a better time to use your metallic and foil papers then now at the holidays!

This fabulous die is so intricate and beautiful that I simply die cut from gold foil paper, positioned over a die cut oval matted in red and place on a decorate holiday design paper.  A touch of red Stickles on the berries gave me that holiday sparkle finishing touch.

Quick ... easy ... and just perfect!

Today's I've appropriately used the Tutti Designs 'MERRY & BRIGHT' die - #TUTTI-128.

Of course I couldn't just stop at one card ... so I created another using this same
die but in a different color scheme ... what do you think?

By simply using red card stock as my background panel
and die cutting from Christmas green foil paper, my traditional holiday card
was ready to go ... but wait ... why not add a couple
narrow panels of the scrap foil paper that was laying on the work table
to give it a more 'finished' look?
NOW it's PERFECT!

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of these fabulous dies.

Dies R Us - Winter Birthday

Happy Christmas  Friends!
WOW can you believe it's Christmas Eve already!?!
Where has the year gone?

Today I'm sharing a card using dies from the Dies R Us Store to create a winter Birthday card.  I always feel badly for people who have birthday's around Christmas.  I often wonder if they really get that special attention they deserve.  Well I know someone celebrating a Christmas Birthday so I created this fun card in hopes of sending her an EXTRA smile!

How cute is this little guy!
Elizabeth Craft  #1041 - Rudy the Reindeer
Unfortunately he's not available in the store at the moment but there are several other Elizabeth Craft 'critters' that are similar and would work beautifully on a design such as this.  For instance, how about 'Buster the Dog'

Other dies I've used are . . .

Yvonne Creations - Holly Jolly - Nesting Frame

Amy Design - Dies - Wintertide - Ice Crystal Swirl

What a fun time I had creating this card and I hope it has brought a smile to your face today!  Now I'd better make sure Santa is all set for his busy night!

Double D Challenge - Silver & Gold

Hello friends . . .
Today begins a new challenge at the
Team Darlene is hosting today's challenge and the chosen
theme is . . .
SILVER & GOLD
Here's the tile board created for your inspiration  . . .
With it being such a busy time of year, I took the easy route
today and turned to die cuts for today's creation.

By using both silver & gold, this 'love'ly card could be used for
either a Silver Anniversary or a Golden Anniversary.

I've used silver foil paper as my background panel then die cut the
Cheery Lynn Designs 'Lattice Heart & Vines (B368) and
the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Love' (B227) from Gold Metallic Foil paper.

A touch of sparkle from silver & gold sequins was
the only embellishments this card needed.

OH!  and did you know there's also a prize being offered?
Yep!  And, this time around it's this fabulous
Sue Wilson Festive Collection 'Merry Christmas' die.

Tutti Designs - Hearts and Love

It's my turn to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.   I know Christmas is only 1 WEEK away but WOW! ... have you seen the November Release with all the beautiful heart dies?  I just couldn't help myself and had to create a card using one of these gorgeous dies as well as a swirly sentiment die from the previous release.

From the November release I have used the 'Love Butterfly Frame' TUTTI-201

and interlocked the October Release 'Swirly Love' TUTTI-223 sentiment die.

Ssshhh!  Don't tell hubby ... but this is his Valentine's Day card!  LOL

I just love all the swirls and flourishes on these dies and I'm always thrilled with how easily they die cut!  BUT, if by chance you find you have issues die cutting or pieces stuck in your dies, Tutti Designs also offers a few tools to help with those issues.  You can find the Metal Adapter Plate HERE and a set of Poke Tools HERE.

TUTTI-PK Poke ToolsTUTTI-ADP Metal Adapter Plate

After embossing the red panel for the background of my card, I felt it was a little too 'strong' and decided to add a vellum panel to add a touch of softness.  This vellum panel is adhered to the top using two little glue dots which are hidden from the front by simply covering those two areas with sequins.  I've left the bottom of this vellum panel unattached (as shown in photo above)

These two dies are already so beautiful on their own, but I wanted to add a little touch of sparkle & shine which I achieved using sequins and Stickles.  Did you notice how I actually intertwined these two dies ... a sign to hubby that our lives will be intertwined forever!
I know ... sorry ... TMI ... lol!

Well that does it for me today!
Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of these fabulous dies.
