Another 'friendly' challenge . . .

Happy Thursday Friends!
As another month draws to a close, Michigan BFF Diane (Nellie's Nest) has challenged me to play along with her over on the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog where the code word this time around is

Keeping in mind that this is CAS (clean and simple) challenge, I have actually only used my card base and one single silhouette styled die cut ... LOVE how it turned out!

The die I have used is new to me from Spellbinder called 'Sledding' (S4-824).  A white gelly roll pen was used to create the snowflakes in the sky!   These kids had better hurry home ... it's appears to be getting quite dark out there and starting to snow pretty hard!!  LOL

Other challenges to share in:
Cards 4 Guyz Challenge #243 - Die as main focus (entry #2)
Dream Valley Challenge #224 - Our 4 legged friends
AAA Cards #164 - One Image
NBUS Challenge #13 - (Never before used Die)
Little Red Wagon Challenge #547 - White (or any color) Space (mine is black)

Be sure to pop over to Diane (Nellie's Nest) blog to see her silhouette card ... it's a beauty!!

I hope you'll stop back tomorrow!
With it being a new month, I will have lots to share and inspire you with.
See you then!
Have a great day!

Inspired . . .

Happy Hump Day All!

After seeing THIS CREATION over on friend & fellow crafter Barb Campbell's blog, I was inspired to play along with the Keep Your Distance challenge over on the Power Poppy 'Creative Confetti' Challenge ...  HERE

PLUS, this also gave me the opportunity to join in another challenge I've been meaning to play along in and that is the Anything Goes Challenge over at Lavinia World.

For my creation I have used the Lavinia Stamp 'Zanor'
LAV562 - Lavinia Stamps - Zanor (LAV562)

which I've stamped 3 times onto the Lavinia Paper 'Moonlight Glow'.

Lavinia Papers - 6 x 6 - Moonlight Glow

This particular paper pack is 6x6 in size but I have carefully cut it down to 6 x 4 1/2 to fit my A6 card base.  I think it worked out okay!!  lol

Other Challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Unicorn Challenge #53 - Furry Friends

PLEASE be careful out there ... continue to observe social distancing and wash your hands and/or sanitize any time you are out and about!  We can beat this virus but we must ALL follow the guidelines provided ...  whether we like it or not!!  I know I for one could NOT live with myself if I inadvertently infected someone because I wasn't doing as suggested!!

As always, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!

Can you say 'addicted'?

LOL ... Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Yep, you might say I'm a little 'addicted' to making the adorable purses I've shared with you over the past week.  So far I have 14 made and I'll be making many more before the Fall Craft Show!

Here are the last few I made over the weekend ... hope you like them.

On this first one, for the embellishments (the accent pieces - corners, tassel, closure, purse top), I have taken a 4x6 panel of glossy black card stock and run it through a swiss dot embossing folder before cutting out my pieces.

Additional tags were added to this second purse.

How about a purse for those lady bug lovers.

And a couple very simplistic ones ...

I wanted the attention to remain on the paper patterns so simply added a tassel embellishment.

Currently, I'm afraid this die is Out of Stock at the Dies R Us Store but I'm sure if they receive enough requests, they will try to restock it for you so be sure to leave them a message.

Tutti Designs - A Floral Hello

Happy Monday All!
Today, I have one more floral card to share with you this month for my DT work at Tutti Designs.  Next month, I'll come up with a different theme to follow using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.
I'm having so much fun showing you the vast variety of dies available.

The dies I've used today are:

Scallop Stitched Rectangles (currently out of stock)
but you could just as easily use the

Such a quick & easy card to create!
And, I had a little fun by taking the scrap left from my
background designer paper, placing a few squares over a couple
of the flowers on the die in order to do a little 'matching paper piecing'.
Just adds a little color to my flowers without actually having to color them.
 What do you think??

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies available. Need more inspiration?  The team has something new to share on the Tutti Designs Blog  EVERY DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY!

Pop in often and see for yourself ... what a talented group of designers!!

More Purses . . .

Happy Saturday All!

Since Friday is my laundry day and I was waiting for the lawn to get drier from the overnight rain shower so I could mow, I took the opportunity and cut out/made three more of those fabulous little purses that I shared with you yesterday.  This time I added a tag and/or charm along with the tassel.  What do you think?
(click any image to enlarge)

I have a TON of designer papers that I think would work great for these purses and I can't wait to cut more and see how they turn out!  They are so much fun to create and closer to the Fall Show time, I will purchase a bag of Hershey Kisses and fill each purse.

That just brought a thought to my mind ... MAYBE I should stamp the word 'kisses' on the tag for a few!  What do you think?

I also want to give a shout out to my friend Anne (Anne-Made) for her inspiration and enabling of the purchase of this die also.  Be sure to click on her name and see the beautiful purse she made.  They are all just a 'little bit different' one to the other!  AND, she even made her own designer paper before cutting ... really cool!  Be sure to check it out!

If you're interested in purchasing this die for yourself, here's the link:

Time to get busy ... first project of the day is to spread the next treatment on our lawn while the dew is still on the grass ... then I REALLY need to get a birthday card for hubby's birthday (tomorrow - yikes) and THEN I can play with more purses & cards.

Have a great weekend everyone!
And please, please, please stay safe & healthy!  We aren't through this pandemic yet so be careful not to let your guard down no matter what our government officials say in regards to opening back up the economy.  We STILL need to continue social distancing, wearing masks and just use common sense!

Thanks for stopping by ...

Making Purses . . .

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!

I've been anxious to share my latest obsession with you!
'PAPER PURSES' ... yep that's what I said!!

Check 'em out ... they are so darn cute!

I saw these in blogland somewhere (forgive me for not writing down the link)  (UPDATE:   BFF Diane reminded me that we first saw these cute purses at our friend and team mate Julie's blog) and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on the die.  It's available right now at the Dies R Us Store.

 Concord & 9th - Dies - Everyday Purse

There are a variety of Youtube videos that will help you get started.
The ones I liked the best were by Carrie Rhoades ... she has a series of 4 videos.

 Here are a couple more!
I'm thinking the Country Club Ladies will LOVE these so I'm working
on several in hopes that our Fall Show doesn't get cancelled like our Spring Show did.
A couple little Hershey Kisses inside and I think they will be a HIT!
What do you think?

Don't you just love that little tassel??!!!
There are other little embellishment in this set but for right now
I think I'll just stick with the tassel.

Challenges to share in:

Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Through the Purple Haze Challenge #166 - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations Challenge #408 - Anything Goes (2)
Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Arty Divas Challenge #20 - Anything Goes

Well that's it for me today!  I really need to get busy on a birthday card
for my 'other half'!  His birthday is Sunday and with all the restaurants closed,
I can't take him out to dinner so I guess a special card is all he'll be getting this year.
LOL  He's SO HARD to buy for so I've kind of just given up on that idea.

UPDATE:
I've had a question on the size of these purses ... here's a visual for you.
They have enough room inside for a gift card or a few Hershey Kisses.
Actually roomier than I first anticipated!

Take care ... stay healthy ... and thanks for taking the time to stop by!!
Cyber Hugs to you!!

Earth Day

Hello Everyone!
Did you know it was Earth Day?
Yep I almost missed it too!
What an opportune time to celebrate Mother Earth!
With all the craziness going on in the world today ... I just HAD to step outside and
breath in the fresh air & Mother Nature's beauty that I am so blessed to have around me!

My friend Vicki inspired me to come join in the challenge fun over on the
Cut It Up Challenge Blog where their theme is:

Our Beautiful Earth (Earth Day, April 22)
respecting nature - flowers, trees, animals, butterflies, birds, etc.
AND, don't forget the die cut!

Here's what I've created . . .

It appears these kiddos felt the same way I did today and just had to get out into the open air!  To create my scene, I've used a variety of stamps from Stampscapes.  After stamping my path/meadow, I sponged in a little color using TH distress inks and a sponge dauber.

Next came the fencing, kids, birds and branches.

Once I had the scene the way I wanted it, I die cut the panel using Lawn Fawn 'Cross Stitched Rectangles' dies (LF1178 & LF1179) for the focus panel AND the black matting.
Lawn Fawn - Large Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackables DiesLawn Fawn - Small Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackables Dies

My sentiment is a die cut by Sue Wilson named just as you see it ... 'Hope Your Day is Wonderful' (CEDME047).

Sue Wilson Designs - Mini Expressions Collection - Hope Your Day is Wonderful
And lastly, I added the top decorative die cut which is by Penny Black and called 'Pop on a fold - Royal Swirl (#51-320) as well as a couple little butterflies from the OLD Martha Stewart 3-in-1 butterfly punch.

A couple other challenges to share in today are:

Hope your day is being kind to you!  I know these are very difficult & strange times!  Hang in there, we are all in this together and we WILL get through it!  Keep the Faith!!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!
