I decided to go back in time and use one of my very first
Stampin' Up stamp sets called Seaside Sketches (circa 2003).

I stamped my image onto a panel of white card stock
the attached the masked image I created years ago and had
stuck onto the top of my wooden block before using Tim Holtz distress
inks for my coloring.

Love how it turned out . . .

I hope you'll come join in this FUN challenge

Hope to see you there!!

Sisterhood of Crafters - Any Occasion

Hello dear friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over

Our hostess today is ME and the theme I've chosen is:
ANY OCCASION

Here's what I have to share ...
Sad as it is, I seem to be in need of more sympathy cards lately.
So when I was watching a video recently by Jennifer McGuire, I thought this technique
would make for a beautiful yet simple sympathy design.  What do you think?
I've used masking medium, Tim Holtz distress inks and a couple of stamps ... that's IT!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...

Pickin' Posies

Afternoon friends!

I took a few minutes this morning to create another
magical card to share with you that uses a combinations of
stamps to 'set the scene'.  Hope you like it!

The background was created using my fancy new brushes
and Tim Holtz oxide distress inks.  Then to create the scene, I've
used the following:

Lavinia Stamp - Fairy Buttercups

Lavinia Stamp - Eden

For the sky scene, I've used an older Memory Box Open Studio stamp called
Stars at Night (CS2201H) sorry, couldn't find an image to share
and
the 'grassy' area is a stamp by Stampscapes called

This card could be use for a multitude of occasions!
The sky's the limit!
But when I do finish the inside, I will probably add another
stamped image of the buttercups to tie it all together.

Challenges I'd like to share in today are:
International Art & Soul Challenge - Stars and/or Stripes
Sparkles Monthly Challenge - No Patterned Paper
Crafty Friends Challenge #112 - Fairies & Fantasy

Sorry for the double post today but daughter & I are going on a short
little trip to visit her half sister in Maryland tomorrow so
wanted to be sure to share in these fun challenges before I left.

Wishing you all a FABULOUS week ahead!
Weatherman says it's going to be HOT this week!   Don't forget your

Tutti Designs - Magical Fairy

Darlene with you today sharing another  'MAGICAL'  card  that was so much fun to create!
Over at the Tutti Designs Store, we had a new May release and you really owe it to yourself to check 'em out!  Not only are they 'magical' but they are 'summertime' awesome!!

Here's my card,
I hope you like it  . . .

The dies I've used today are:

TUTTI-544 Magical Fairy

and the two largest dies in the Dotted Nesting Circle die set.

It's amazing how quickly a beautiful card can come together
using these fabulous dies.

As you can see, I've die cut from a scrap of white card stock, then did a little coloring on the flowers as well as the 'popped out' panels.  I've attached my magical fairy panel to the yellow panel then using a few dabs of glue, I've reinserted the panels of her skirt.

A few dabs of sparkle on her wings and she's ready to gather smiles.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Happy little Birthday Box Card

Hello Friends!
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
I took a little time this morning to do some reorganizing and
discovered I had these adorable images stamped and
just waiting to be colored, die cut & used on a design so
I finally took a few minutes and showed them some love.
Here's what I came up with . . .

Any child would love receiving this fun pop up box card
with all the fun birthday elements.

I've used a stamp & die set from Hampton Art - Mama Elephant
that I purchased at JoAnn's quite some time ago.  For my
base box card I've used a die from the Pink & Main.

Pink & Main - Dies - Box Card

The designer paper I've used is from Echo Park called 'Imagine That'.
And the Happy Birthday dies are from Tutti Designs.

Challenges I'd like to share in are:
2 Sisters on the Blog Challenge - Things with Wings
a2z Scrapbooking June Challenge - Anything But a Card
Creations in Pink Challenge - ATG with pink as the main color

And, one more quick view ...

Hope you have a very enjoyable day!

Alphabet Challenge Time

Hello Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Alphabet Challenge Blog.
Today's letter is "G"
for
GLITZ or GRUNGE
I chose Glitz ...

I've actually had this beautiful Poppystamps 'Large Winterland Faerie'
die cut and sitting on my work table for some time now.

Poppystamps - Dies - Large Winterland Faerie
Today I decided  it was time she put on a sparkly dress and adorned the front of a card
as a 'ballerina'!  It's hard to see, but her ballet slippers also sparkle.

The background paper I've used is from the Echo Park
6x6 'Happy Birthday' paper pack.   And, the star was die cut from pink card stock
using the largest die in the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Stars die set.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun and
I look forward to being inspired by your creation!!  See you there!
Thanks so much for stopping by...
As always . . .

Tutti Designs - A Whale of a Birthday . . .

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Today I'm filling in for Tutti Designs team mate Jenn over on the Tutti Designs Blog.
Jenn is under the weather and we hope she's feeling better real soon!

I've had a lot of fun creating a card using one of the May Released dies called

TUTTI-532 Whale Reef

When I decided I wanted to die cut my whale from white card stock and color in the little fish and sea weed pop outs, I didn't realize I had two sheets of card stock stuck together.  This error worked out okay since it gave me more fishies to play with LOL.   I had actually colored all the pop out pieces while still in the cut out before realizing my error.

As you can see here now I have more pieces I can use for my card design ... perfect!    Love Happy Mistakes!!  LOL

I've also used the Tutti Designs 'Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle' die set to create the background for my whale as well as my computer generated sentiment panel.

I've used a white Gelly Roll pen to create all the bubbles coming
up from the fish as well as additional bubbles on the black background panel.
Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Double D - Pick a Pattern

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is
Pick A Pattern
(the PATTERN must be the focus of your creation)

Here's the mood board I've created to help inspire you . . .

I happen to love patterns of all types ... dots, strips, plaids ... so, this was actually a difficult challenge for me but I finally went with stripes and a color that I rarely use but love none the less ... orange!
Here's what I've created . . .

My striped paper is actually from my own Echo Park paper pack ... just happens to be the same paper pad that I'm offering for this challenge's prize.

We all love dots & stripes and one lucky winner will receive this awesome paper pad to add to their collection.

My card turned out totally different from what my original idea was and I'm very happy with it!
I started out by die cutting one of the Heartfelt Creations 'Regal Borders' panel and had intended on using the reverse side of this paper panel (orange & white) but then got the bright idea to overlay the scrolly panel at the top (lining up the strips) to cover the excess white space on my card base.  I think it gave a cool illusion.

I also die cut my Precious Marieke 'Condolence' cross twice ... once in white and once in black, then carefully overlaid them for an even more dimensional effect.

I'll Drink to That!

Hello friends ...
I'm back once again today to share another card
created for two fabulous challenges.

I wasn't sure if my last card hit the mark exactly for
either of these challenges so I'm going to give it a try one more
time before time is up!

I've used a panel of masking medium which I've die cut out a square
to create my background using TH oxide distress inks.

For my beverages, I've used the Pink Ink by Impression Obsession

Hope you have a very enjoyable day!
