 I have a fun sketch challenge card to share with you today!
This is the sketch I'm inspired by today which is from the
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog.  (Top 3 Winner)

 

 At first I was a little stumped but after looking through some of my older stash, it all came together.
Here's what I've created . . .

The product used on this card has literally been sitting on the shelf since my scrapbooking days and I'm so happy I reached for that container today!

50th Birthday

 Hello Friends!

Well, here we are on the LAST weekend of MAY 2026 ... the time is certainly zipping by!!

I had a request for a couple personalized birthday cards from my weekly luncheon friend Sue so I thought I share one of those cards with you today.  

 

 

(Inside) 

 I spotted the card design out on FB awhile back and saved it for future inspiration and today's the day!  Here's the reel that inspired me:  https://www.facebook.com/reel/3059207407802557.  Even though the 'inside' card base looks more red, it is really pink like the front cover photo shows  as are the words/numbers.

The decorative panel was from my scrap box and the coordinating 1/2" strips are also from scraps.  The Heartfelt Creations stamped & die cut flowers are 'left overs' from several years ago when I demo'd for Heartfelt Creations at the local Adventures in Stamping convention held here in Akron every Spring.  Little by little I'm using them up lol ...   Tombow markers were used to color my flowers and I used a circle die to cut out my circle.

Fun technique for your birthday card . . .

 Happy End of May Weekend All . . .

I spotted a fun technique called 'Split Card Design' over on the Group of Seven Cardmakers blog the other day and thought I'd give it a whirl ...hopefully I can share this card over there before their current challenge ends. 

 

I've used the Altenew Build-A-Garden: Rosa Gallica stamp & die for my floral focus.

 

 Coloring was done with Tombow Markers.  
What a fun technique ... I'll be doing this again!!

Wood Block Wednesday Challenge

 

  Hello Friends

Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday challenge up and running and I've been trying to join in each month as it gives me the opportunity to play with all my old wooden block stamps which don't get the love they deserve since clear stamps came about.

  

 The wood block stamp I've used today is by Inkadinkado.   

 

The background paper used for my card is from Crafter's Companion called 'Nature's Garden ... Kingfisher Collection'.   This is 2-sided paper so I've used the 'flip side' of one of the panels.

 

  Why not pop over and check out her blog and play along ... you know you have wood block stamps that need some love just like I do!  LOL

 I've had this Unity paper pack called 'Ghostly Moonlit Gardens' in my stash for awhile now and thought this might be a good time to showcase it.

 

 The floral sticker in the circle is from the Paper Studio and the sentiment panel is a fabulous stamp & die set from the TON.

CAS - Thinking of You

 Happy Hump Day All!

Today I'm playing along in the current AAA Cards Challenge #315  - a sketch challenge this time.

 

 One of my cousins has been ordering thinking of you cards for her church every couple of months so I thought I'd get started on another group of cards for her so I have them available when she contacts me next.  This sketch is a very CAS (clean & Simple) design that will make for some quick cards.

 

 I've used the Paper Studio sticker flowers for the corner focus and from my 'Doni Collection', I've used a sentiment stamp from Simon Says titled 'Sending Happy Thoughts'.

Polka Dot Fun

 Happy Day Crafting Friends!

Today I'm playing along in the fun 'Polka Dot' challenge 
over on the Just Add Ink Challenge Blog. (ends June 3rd) ✓

 

 Here's what I've created . . .

 I've had this old Memory Box 'Peony Oval Frame' (#99907) die cut and at the ready for awhile now.  It was cut for another project then not used.  And, since I used a polka dot paper for the framing I thought it would be perfect for this fun challenge.

For my background, I've used a Sunny Studio 'Dots & Stripes pastels paper pad. (Dots on one side / Stripes on the other). 

 

 My sentiment panel is from Heartfelt Creations and Nuvo Crystal Drops were also used for a dimensional embellishment.  Tombow markers were used for coloring.

 Happy Memorial Day Monday!!

Today I'm playing along in a fun color challenge over on the
Color Dare Weekly Color Challenge Blog (ends June 4th). 

 

 With my recent purchase of cardstock (see yesterday's blog post here), I had no doubt I could match the colors they are looking for.  And with this challenge being a Clean & Simple design style, it took me a matter of minutes to create this card.

Colorful . . .

 Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all my USA family & friends!

Today I've created a couple of cards to share over on the AAA Colourful Challenge.
Here's their color palette for this month.

 

 

 

 A long time crafting friend has decided to sell off ALL her paper crafting 'schtuff' and go into quilting so I went to her garage sale and bought all her paper.  The 6x6 paper pack I've used on today's cards are from her sale.  NOT that I needed MORE paper but I couldn't pass up the amazing prices she was offering.  She sold EVERYTHING ... 
Needless to say ... I'm not going to need card stock for awhile!  LOL
Will also be sharing with other crafting friends!

 

 

The paper pack I referred to above is from 
Crafter's Companion and called The Fairy Glade.

Pick 3 Challenge Time #5

 Hello friends!

It's time again for a fun new challenge over on the Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  

Here's this months Elements Board . . . 

 Here's what I've created  . . .

 

 The elements I've chosen today are: 

 Blue - Birthday - Numbers

 The 'blue' background was created using a 2 sided sheet of 6x6 paper from the Mintay 'Seaside Escape' paper pack.  The 'dividing line' was created with a scrap of 3/4" designer paper from my scrap box.  The Happy Birthday dies are from Tutti Designs and the numbers are a Karen Burniston #1031 Numbers die set.

Double D - Splatter

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

 

Here's today's theme:

 

SPLATTER

 

 and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

 

 

 OMG what fun I had today playing with my sprays, ink, etc.  
I ended up using a variety of sprays which I haven't used in YEARS for today's creation.

 

  I must admit, this was NOT my first attempt at this card.  
In fact, not what I had in mind at all!  LOL  But I love the outcome.

 

I spritzed & sprayed a variety of OLD Dylusions, Tattered Angels & BoBunny sprays onto a scrap of white paper.  Let it dry then die cut this (also OLD) Memory Box 'Fairyland Butterflies' (#99078) panel.  Then I got the bright idea to spritz another panel using the same colors and die cut a frame.  I've used one of my favorite frame die sets, Paper Rose 'Stitched Rectangle Frames' (#16679).  

 

 

   

 

 I've popped up the frame using dimensional tape and attached the butterflies here & there on the frame and a couple little spots inside the frame to give it movement.  A few gold Nuvo Drops and my card is complete.
