Sadly needed cards . . .

 Hello Friends . . .

Here are three more sympathy cards I created but hadn't shared yet.
How sad is it when you need more sympathy cards then birthday cards!!  But unfortunately with the way things are in the world at the present time, that is the case so hopefully these cards can bring some peace to the recipients.

Inside verse ...

AND, as you can see, what I used as the inside verse on the 1st card, I've used as the front cover verse on the next two cards.

Inside verse for cards 2 & 3 ...

Thanks for stopping by today!

I hope you are having a great day!  It's quite windy & rainy here in Ohio today and I have a bit of running to do so not much in the way of crafting for me today!  Stay well my friends . . .

As always ...

Mr. Mojo Returns

 Hello All

I'm happy to tell you that Mr. Mojo decided to make his presence known yesterday
and even though I had a physical therapy appointment interruption,  I was still able to get another six sympathy cards created for my sale box.

3D Embossing Folders helped to make not only a beautiful card design but quick & easy.

The same goes for these beautiful Mintay designer papers and a VERY OLD SU  stamp set.

Once again I've used the same Lisa Horton 3D embossing folder
but this time I used TH distress oxide inks to do a
little coloring before adding my sentiment flags.

I'm not in the crafting cave today, it's my monthly ME DAY with my hairdresser sister and good friend pedicurist.  Will have to pick back up on card making tomorrow but if the temperatures outside are as nice as they are claiming they will be, I might just have to go out and soak in some sunshine instead.

Time will tell . . .

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are well!!

As always,

In Need of Sympathy Cards ...

Hello All and Happy Monday!

While going through my sale boxes of cards I realized I was down to only 1 or 2 sympathy cards and since I'm taking along my cards this Friday to visit my cousins for our monthly Cousins Breakfast over in PA, I thought I'd better get some made to share.

Although I had planned on making at least a half dozen yesterday, Mr. Mojo once again had different ideas and I only had two made when my mojo ran up the steps and out of the craft room.  But I did get two made and will share them with you today.

While making these cards, I decided it would be best to create 1 masculine and 1 feminine as I go that way I will have equal amounts of both ... so here ya go.

A very easy peasy card letting the designer paper do the work.  The paper I've used is from another Mintay 6x6 paper pack called 'City of Love'.  For my sentiment I have die cut a circle using Tutti Designs Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circles, the sentiment is from Stamp Simply  'Sympathy Sentiments Set 1' and I've used a portion of the stamp from Pink Fresh Studio called 'Leafy Decor' along the top which was colored using Tombow markers.

The inside verse for both cards was created using another stamp from Stamp Simply called Sympathy Sentiments Set 2.

Today's masculine sympathy card uses paper from Craft Consortium called 'Ink Drops - Ocean'.
My front circular sentiment panel uses the same Pink Fresh 'Leafy Decor' stamp and a different stamp from the Stamp Simply Sympathy Sentiments Set 2 as linked above.

Now I must admit a boo boo ...

While adhering my sentiment panel to the front of my card, I rubbed the side of my hand across the sentiment panel to be sure it was adhered securely only to find I must have had something on my hand which the left a swirl across the left side of my leafy decor stamped image.   GRRRRR

So instead of having to do all over again, I got the bright idea to use one of my circular dies as a template and had an arch where the smear was located and add a heart to the end. VIOLA!  Problem solved and I don't think it looks too bad at all ... maybe even a little 'artsy' on my part!  LOL

Anyways, I have physical therapy in a few hours so if I'm going to get any more sympathy cards made today I'd better get busy!

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead and I hope it's warmer where you are then it is here ... good grief only 19 degrees right now with a high of 27 ... doesn't Mother Nature realize it is SPRING??

Thanks for stopping by!

As always . . .

Sharing a little kindness . . .

 Happy Sunday Morning Everyone!

Before covid hit, hubby & I would go to Bob Evans for breakfast 3 times a week but during covid we quit going out completely and when things started getting better, we started back but only on Sunday morning when the doors opened at 7 am.  There turns out to be a half dozen of us that show up at the same time every Sunday morning and we have become known as the 'regulars' and know each other by first name now.

Within this group is a little lady named Cathy who comes in with her son and they come quite a distance because our waitress Roni is such a pleasure to see each week.

Anyone who knows me knows I can be a bit of a talker and not afraid to say Hello (even if I don't know you lol).  Well that's how Cathy & I have become 'once a week' friends.  A few weeks ago I discovered that she & my granddaughter share the same birthday date (March 30) so I knew immediately I wanted to remember to make her a special card.  So, here's the card I made and gave to her this morning ... she was thrilled and very thankful to be thought of on this upcoming milestone.

There are panels in my 6x6 Mintay booklets that I hate to cut into to create my usual A6 cards but since I was hand delivering this one I figured I'd go with the 6x6 size for Cathy as I felt she would enjoy the beautiful flowers & birds on this panel.

Inside view

A very easy peasy card to create and since Cathy had mentioned a few weeks back that she couldn't find good crepes anywhere around I decided to make her up a batch.  I used to make these for my mom all the time and I know she enjoyed them.  So now that mom is gone,  I will make them periodically for Cathy.  She said they will be a wonderful lunchtime treat.

My day is already complete since I was able to put a smile on this little ladies face.
A little kindness can go a very long way!!

I wish more people would THINK before they SPEAK and show a little kindness vs hatred!  But all I can do is try to lead by example and hopefully it will catch on!  We could sure use more kindness in our world today!

Can You Handle The Pressure - Green

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is 'GREEN'.  Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

  •  Today I've used a Provo Craft - Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder for my background panel.
  • To create my sentiment I've used Memory Box Uppercase Alphabet dies.
  • My focus is this Lucky Horseshoe by Cheapo Dies.

I do hope you'll come check out our new blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!

Here's today's prize offering . . .

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

Just Getting the Mojo Going . . .

 Hello Friends

I've been a little under the weather earlier in the week so
my mojo kind of 'left the building' so I thought possibly
if I created a card using some of the fun challenge
themes listed over on Paper Playful, my mojo would return ...

Here's what I've created using Stenciling, Embossing, a Color Combo and Things with wings (those challenges are listed below).  Hope you like it ...

Challenges:

Color Throwdown Challenge #685 - Inspiration Photo
(#ctd685 and #colorthrowdown)

Addicted to Stamps and More #425 - Die cuts and/or Stencils
Little Red Wagon Challenge #646 - Emboss Everything
Shopping our Stash Challenge #466 - Spread Your Wings

Product used:

Ciaobella stencil (#MS037) 'Ramage' stencil
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks
Lisa Horton 'Pretty Leaves' 3D embossing folder
Martha Stewart butterfly punch (very old)
Sue Wilson - Perspectives - Happy (CED8301) die set

Here's a photo I snapped after doing the stenciling & embossing ... I've actually 'debossed' my panel ACCIDENTALLY ... I placed my stenciled panel into the folder incorrectly so the upraised portion is actually on the back (white) side of my background panel.

Whew ... okay, now that my mojo has once again been kick started, I'd better get busy on some other creations that are on the list to be completed.

I hope you're having a fabulous day and have found inspiration in my posting today.

Stay happy & healthy!

As always . . .

Make The Cards Challenge #51

 Welcome Back Friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on the  Make The Cards Challenge Blog.
Today we have a Technique challenge for you . . .

I had so much fun creating today's card!  I love starting with a sketch so today's theme is right up my alley!  LOL  The first thing I did was decide what image I wanted to focus in the center panel then went from there in choosing my background papers that would coordinate with my image.

The image is from a sheet of beautiful images from a company called Too Much Fun Rubber Stamps.  I purchased several different themed sheet at last years Adventures in Stamping Convention held here in Akron, Ohio each spring.

The background papers I chose came from a couple different Mintay 6x6 Paper Packs ... Farm Life & Berrylicious.  The image & the sentiment banner have been popped up with dimensional tape.  A little Prima flower with a Nuvo drop center was added to complete my card.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun ... here's the link for you one more time ...

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Sentiment ONLY

  Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme, chosen by Sistah Vickie is:

SENTIMENT ONLY

In case you can't read what the sentiment says, here ya go ...

Happiness
comes through doors you
didn't even know you left open

I have had both of these stamps for YEARS (at least 5) and this is the first time I've inked up either one of them.  The frame is by Sweet Stamps called 'Framed Daisies' and it's still available for purchase.

The inside sentiment comes from a Hampton Art clear set #SC0584

Hampton Art Clear Stamp - Dreams

I have used Tombow markers for my coloring today.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
