I Bee-lieve in you!

This morning I decided to join in the fun new challenge over on the Addicted to CAS challenge blog.  Here's what they're requiring this time around . . .

My pattern is honeycomb.  I've used my new (and fun) January kit from Hero Arts.  You'll be seeing more cards using this kit in the weeks to come.  Unfortunately the kit is sold out, but you can still purchase some awesome coordinating stamps & dies ... check it out HERE.   This is what the kit looked like and I'm SO HAPPY I jumped on the chance ... it sold out REALLY FAST!

My card pretty much speaks for itself but if you have any questions, just leave me a comment.  We are to get a snow storm over the next few days so that will give me a good excuse to get ahead on my design team commitments.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Please stay safe & healthy!

As always . . .

Purse Full of Goodies

 Hello friends and welcome back!

Today's creation fulfilled two things I wanted to do ... use this new die I've had sitting here for more than a week now and play along in the Lavinia World Challenge.

The die is by Concord & 9th and is called 'Weekender Handbag'

The Lavinia Stamp I have used is called Moon Fairy

 LAV041 - Lavinia Stamp - Moon Fairy

I'm sure you noticed my title says 'Purse Full of Goodies' and then my photo doesn't show any 'goodies' ... well, here ya go . . .

Here are a couple of other photo angles to give you a better look at the purse.

** CONFESSION TIME **

There is a video on the website that is very helpful and I watched it right away when the die showed up in my mailbox ... expecting to find time to create right away!  WELL ... guess I should have watched it again BEFORE making today's project (vs AFTERWARDS lol) as I put the handles on wrong.  Well, not really WRONG ... it's just fine this way too (my opinion of course) and I omitted the closure strap as it would have covered part of my stamped image.

Let's just say 'my way' shows the dies versatility!  Right?  LOL

With this being the first time using this die and knowing I wanted to stamp on the front, I die cut all the pieces from white card stock and sponged them with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks.  Main coverage is Broken China and the accent color is Chipped Sapphire.

Isn't this image adorable?
Be sure to pop over and check out ALL of the Lavinia Stamps available at Dies R Us.

After stamping my image, I colored in the moon & her wings using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I had every intention of adding sparkle to her wings before taking the photos but of course I forgot ... but was a good idea so added it after the fact.

Be sure to check out the fabulous Give Away at Lavinia World (FB) is having!

No photo description available.

I hope you're inspired to TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT this weekend.
If you're anything like me, you're tired of watching TV and playing board games lol.  I'm hoping my Fall Craft Shows will be ON for 2021 so I think I might work up a few more of these purses to go along with the 'Every Day Purses' I already have done and ready to sell.

Rainbow Birthdays

Welcome back my friends ... I hope today finds you well & happy!

I've really been having fun working at getting better with the CAS (clean & simple) design style and with some of the fun & amazing challenge blogs out there to help me with inspiration, I think I'm finally 'getting the hang of it'.

Today's card was created for the new challenge over on the AAA Cards Blog ... here's their challenge this time around . . .

Their design team shared some amazing inspiration cards ... using the same style but all so different!!!   By simply using a panel of masking medium and the left over ink in some of my TH distress oxide ink large sponges, I created my rainbow effect at the bottom of my card front.   Once I pulled away the masking,  I realized I could have come up on my card a little further with my colors.  So I decided to add the coordinating colors using Nuvo Crystal Drops in the top corner to pull it all together.

Thanks so much for taking the time out of you day to stop by and take a peek.  It means more to me than you will ever know!   Please be safe out there ... wear your mask ... and stay healthy!

As always . . .

Sisterhood of Crafters - Create your own background!

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme, chosen by MWAH (lol) this time around, is:

 CREATE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND

I love creating backgrounds so why not choose something I really like to do ... right?  LOL  Something else I really enjoy doing when I take the time is creating scenery cards using my Stampscapes stamps.  That's what I've chosen to do for you today!

I actually created a 'background within a background'.
I first stamped my cabin scene and colored it in making sure to create the reflection of the blue sky in the water in front of the cabin.  Then I knew I wanted my actual background to be of the pines as seen in the foreground image to be carried on in the background.  The use of sponge daubers, Tim Holtz distress inks and Stampscapes stamps made this card fairly easy to create!  Hope you like it!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Happy Birthday Balloons

Hello my friends and Happy Tuesday to you!!

Well, card making doesn't get much easier than this!  I spotted the challenge over at AAA Birthday Card Challenge and came up with this quick & easy card.

I've had this fabulous Clear Scraps 'Party' 6x6 stencil in my stash for quite awhile and every once and awhile I remember it's there!

I really should just take a few minutes and create some background panels in various colors for future use (I think I'll do that today ...otherwise will once again be forgotten lol).

Of course I chose shades of purple (my favorite) and also remembered I had these new Nuvo Diamonds Hybrid Ink Pads (Tropical Paradise) inks

Nuvo Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads - Tropical ParadisePicket Fence Studios Blender Brushes - 4/pkg

and went to town having fun using one of my Picket Fence blending brushes with these pretty ink colors.

The only addition to my card is my sentiment.  I chose a bold sentiment die by Elizabeth Craft (#1054).  I die cut twice (1 black & 1 purple) then off set them to create a shadow effect.

VIOLA!  Card is ready to sign & send!

I hope you have a great day today!  We were to get some bad weather but it appears it may have gone north of us ... whew!  But I had already planned on crafting today so I'll just keep going lol.

*** UPDATE ***

Three more stenciled, cut and ready to turn into cards!  SEE I told you they were quick & easy!  LOL

Challenges to share in:

NBUS January Challenge - Never Before Used Stuff
Crafting Happiness Challenge #81 - Anything Goes
Crafter's Castle January Challenge - Anything Goes

EXCITING NEWS and a NEW Challenge Blog!

There's a BRAND NEW CHALLENGE BLOG starting today and I'm thrilled to announce I've been asked to join the Design Team!!!   This new challenge is called Make The Cards Challenge ... be sure to check it out!

Lots of fun new challenges coming your way and I'm so proud to be a part of this amazing design team!  Let's have some fun!!

We are starting out with a SKETCH ...

I love doing sketches so I was thrilled to see what our first challenge was to be!  Remember the sketch above is for your inspiration  ... a main starting point.  You are allowed to flip it, add a little something extra ... that sort of thing, but just be sure you can still see the main sketch theme within your project.  Here's what I came up with ... hope you like it!!

After gathering all the necessary pieces I wanted to use that matched the sketch exactly, I then decided to add a few other elements.   The black accent line around the outer edge using a Black Zig marker broke up all the white space and then added a little 'movement' with the leafy flourish.

Product used:
Papers:  White card stock, Black card stock, Echo Park 6x6 Dots & Stripes design paper
Stamp:  Endless Creations
Dies:  Memory Box 'Stitched Scalloped Circles' (#30047), Cheery Lynn Designs 'Leafy Flourish' (#B571)

I do hope you'll come check out this new challenge blog and oh yea, I forgot to mention ... this is a WEEKLY CHALLENGE ... going live every Monday at 9 AM EST.  Something new & fun to get your week off to a great start!    Hope to see you there!

As always . . .

Tutti Designs - Hello Friend

 Hello  Friends!

Today I'm sharing a card using another fun,
new slimline designed die along with a couple of our older die sets.

 Dies used are:

 TUTTI-675 Slimline - Fence Background

 TUTTI-551 Garden Bench Set

Word Set - Friends (I snipped off the 's')

 TUTTI-234 Word Set - Friends

TUTTI-240 Word Set - Hello

There just happened to be these 3 red birds laying on my work table when i was creating this card so thought they would look cute among the floral garland.

And, of course approaching the month of LOVE, I just had to die cut the heart 'pop out' from red and paper piece it back in.  I think it really helped to pull this card together!  What do you think?

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies available. Need more inspiration?  The team has something new to share on the Tutti Designs Blog  EVERY DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY!

Pop in often and see for yourself ... what a talented group of designers!!

Sympathy Cards for orders

Welcome back friends ... I hope today finds you healthy & happy!

Recently I've had orders for both 'Hope you're feeling better' cards and Sympathy cards.  I shared several of the 'feeling better' cards with you a few days ago and thought you might like to see a few of the Sympathy cards I created too.  They are very simple (mailable) so please don't expect too much!  LOL

There was a question about the 3 Crosses stamp I used on the card above ...  it is still available ... you can find it here: https://www.drsdesigns.com/triple-cross-510g/

And of course you need a few more masculine designs also ... which are always difficult to do:

I sure hope our new government administration can get things moving with these vaccines and kick this pandemic's butt!  We are all ready to get back to some normalcy!  Winter months are hard enough to get through ... come on Spring!  LOL

Take care and thanks for stopping by!
