Using up scraps . . .

Morning all!
With the craft show nearly here, I've ended up with a lot
of scraps from projects.  Mainly a pile of long scraps
left over from making tissue box covers and also the hole opening
panels from the lids ...

So, why not use them up by making sets of 'Just A Note' cards
which will also go on sale at the show on Saturday.

Since these panels are smaller than my card base,
and I didn't want the extra weight of another card stock panel for the matting,
I simply used a Medium Point Silver Metallic Pilot Pen to
put an EDGE around each panel (except the actual sentiment).

Two sets down and a few more ready to put together (see above)
and I still have those panels to work with that I shared in the first photo.
I'd better get busy!  LOL

Wishing you all an AMAZING day ahead!
As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

It's Artsystamper Time . . .

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing another creation using beautiful digital images from the TheArtsystamperShop.  Bev has created some gorgeous designs that I'm having so much fun playing with.

You'll want to be sure and check out Bev's new
Artsystamper Digitals Challenge & Inspiration Blog
where there is a new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month ... YOU could win a gift voucher to her Etsy shop!  And, don't forget to check out Bev's You Tube Channel.

Recently Bev has been adding some wonderful papers & images
for the upcoming holiday season ... here's a digital card I made in about 10 minutes.
With it being all digital, I can print & put together several cards quickly
if I come down to the wire and need more cards to mail to family & friends.

And, I'd like to mention this card was inspired by crafting friend
Verna (VA's Creative Clutter) ... you can see her inspirational creation HERE.

Tutti Designs - Cardinal Sprig Wreath

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I've created yet another Christmas card using some old AND new dies
from the Tutti Design Store.  Time is flying by, and I just know I'll be scrambling
at the last minute to have enough cards to send out to friends & family
so doing my best to get ahead of the game and these fabulous dies make my job easier!!

Dies used were:

TUTTI-587 Cardinal Sprig Wreath

Here are a few step taken to create today's card . . .

To reduce the weight of my card, I simply used the next step smaller circle die and cut the center out of my matting panel.  That circle can be used on another project or on the inside of this card.

I did the same thing with the matting for my background designer paper ... reducing the weight of the front of my card even more.  And, of course, giving me another panel for future use.  I used the Tutti Designs Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangles die set to cut out the center panel.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Tutti Designs - Winter Cottage

Hello Dear Friends!
Have you ever spend a day or two in a cottage in the
winter time when the snow is falling and the fire is crackling cozy?
Well, think along that line when you view the card I have created for you today using one of the latest dies released (as well as an older die set)  at the Tutti Design Store.

I have used the following dies to create my card ...

Winter Cottage
 TUTTI-585 Winter Cottage

Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangles

Here's how it came together . . .

First I die cut my Winter Cottage twice being sure to save the 'snowflakes' that popped out of the bottom portion for later use.  After popping out the remaining pieces, I glued these two panels together using white glue.

Next, I die cut the largest scalloped stitched circle from black card stock and the next size down from white card stock.  On the white panel I carefully sponged on some blue ink to create my sky.

And lastly, I popped up my winter cottage onto the white panel to create added dimension, and then added those little popped out snowflakes around the top of my cottage.

Viola!  Add a sweet holiday sentiment to the inside and my card is ready to mail!

Artsystamper Challenge Time

Hello my friends!

It's time for challenge #2 over on the Artsystamper Challenge  for Artsystamper Digitals by Beverly Cole.  We have a new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and we would love to have you come join in the fun!

Today's theme is ...

PATTERNED PAPER

Now remember, it's NOT required that you use Bev's amazing images to join in the challenge (of course if you have them we'd love to see them).  But, the very talented design team will be not only following the theme but will be using Bev's paper, images, etc. for their creations.

Here's what I have to share using one of the beautiful holiday papers . . .

The set I've used on today's card is the lovely
Poinsettia Pair Digital Stamp & Paper Set

Here are the steps I took to create my card ...

Using Word10 I created my entire background ... starting with the paper design, then added the poinsettia and lastly the words.
Next I removed the background paper from my file and printed out just the poinsettia and words onto glossy photo paper twice.

I fussy cut the first poinsettia in it's entirety.  I used dimension tape to attach it over top of the poinsettia that is in the center of my background paper.
Then on my second glossy print, I cut out the poinsettia flower ONLY and once again popped it up atop my focus flower.  This added beautiful shine and dimension to my focus poinsettia.

The winner of our challenges will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop.  Beverly Cole's selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-colored images for easy, last minute cards.  Why not take a moment and check out what she has in the store!!

I hope you will hop on over to the Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog and enter!
You will also see more inspiring designs from the Artsystamper Addicts DT ... so much fun!!

Craft Show projects . . .

Happy Sunday Everyone!
What a beautiful Fall weekend we are having here in
N.E. Ohio.  I spent half the day yesterday in my crafting cave working
on projects for upcoming Fall craft shows and the other half  of
the day outside doing Fall clean-up and cut down.  You
know all those cone flowers, sedum, roses, etc. that require trimming
so they will be beautiful again next year.

I'll be doing the same thing today but before I go I wanted to share
the 'projects' I'm working on.   I shared the pop up cards on my FB page yesterday
(here's a peek at a few of them)

and today I have Decorated Gift Bags with matching Tissue Box Covers to share.  I have made several of these Decorated Gift Bags for the show but then I realized if I used 2 sheets of 12x12 designer paper cut at 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 for the gift bag, that leaves me with just enough left over to create a matching tissue box cover.  How cool is that and I thought 'what a fabulous gift set' for the holidays (I hope so anyways!  LOL)

For the front (and back) decorations on these particular sets I've actually UPCYCLED Christmas cards that have come in the mail from companies that we make donations to.  Using the pretty image from the front of the card on the front of the bag and also die cut the inside sentiment, matted it and added it to the back of the gift bag.  Turned out really nice I think!

Adding a few die cuts, punched panels or 3d stickers embellishments,
I think these sets turned out pretty cute ... what are your thoughts?

Well I only have a couple more hours in here before I need to get back outside for another
beautiful Fall day to finish my cut down clean up projects.  Winter will be here before
we know it I'm afraid!  And from what I hear, it's going to be a BAD one!  Fingers
crossed they are wrong on that one but with the way the weather has been this
year ... who knows?  We just have to do the best we can to be ready for whatever happens.

Have a great day ... hope you have some sunshine in your life today!

Double D - Silhouettes

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is:

SILHOUETTES

Here's the mood board I've created . . .

Which image inspired you the most??

I was torn between the kids and Santa but went with the kids today,
since I know I'll be using Santa a lot in the days to come.

While my sister-in-law and niece were visiting for the day last month,
they were curious about what I do in my 'cave' and I was
showing them how much fun it was to create background panels
using oxide inks and since this panel was laying on the table
just BEGGING to be used, that is where my SILHOUETTE card began.

I just adore this Die Versions 'lovely kids' die so that was my
silhouette of choice for today's creation.  By using a Stampscapes
tree branch stamp, I've created the illusion of these youngins'
swinging on a 'swing built for two', high up on a hill among the trees.

My background hillside was created using one of the Lawn Fawn

Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders Dies

The ropes for the swing were created by using Bakers Twine.
