Tutti Designs - Let It Snow

Welcome back Tutti Friends!
Can you believe another year is drawing to a close?
2020 is on the horizon and here's wishing it's an AMAZING year for you & yours!

With the new year here in NE Ohio, comes the threat of SNOW
and that's what was on my mind today as I created this quick & easy card!
I was also able to use up some of those scraps that were laying on my
work table from all the holiday cards I was trying to get completed and out before it was too late!

I've used the Deer Forest Landscape  for today's creation.
TUTTI-581 Deer Forest Landscape

Everything else on my card were scraps of designer paper
as well as bits & bobs that were on the table and called out to me to
use them vs sweeping them into the trash.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Tutti Designs - Snowman Couple

Hello Friends!
WOW tomorrow is Christmas Eve!  Can you believe it???
My holiday cards have been mailed for this year but there's no time like the present
to start on next years cards and so I will continue to have fun with all the amazing holiday dies available at the Tutti Design Store

How cute is this Snowman Couple!

I had  little fun with them on this design!
After die cutting I decided I wanted to keep them as solid
white snow people so I die cut a second time, colored bits & pieces
of my first cut the adhered them together.

After carefully removing my second cut from the die, I used small strips
of regular scotch tape on the back side to keep everything together.
You could go in so many different directions with this fun die!

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

The sentiment die is by Frantic Stamper.

I will keep this post short and sweet!

Very Sad News

Hello dear friends ...
I know a lot of you follow me on Facebook but for those who do not,
and notice I've been a little preoccupied or MIA, there is a good reason for my
absence.  Sadly, I lost my amazing Mom this past Sunday.

She was 1 month away from her 90th birthday and was doing quite well
but then all of a sudden things just went from bad to worse and we went from having
lunch together on Tuesday to my family all having to say good-bye to her on Sunday.

For anyone interested ... here is the obituary:

Thank you for all your thoughts & prayers!!

Artsystamper Challenge Time

Hello my friends!
It's time for challenge #3 over on the Artsystamper Challenge  for Artsystamper Digitals by Beverly Cole.  We have a new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and we would love to have you come join in the fun!
Today's theme is ...
WRAPPING and/or TAGS

Now remember, it's NOT required that you use Bev's amazing images to join in the challenge (of course if you have them we'd love to see them).  But, the very talented design team will be not only following the theme but will be using Bev's paper, images, etc. for their creations.
Here's what I have to share using some of the fabulous images from the

and my background paper is from the

I created my tag in Microsoft Word10 and modified the background to give a softer
look and make these cute images POP.   I printed it first in grayscale (saving on colored ink) onto white 4x6 card stock ... as you can see it's still quite usable!

But, after die cutting into a tag, I decided I wanted to make the Merry Christmas sentiment a little larger so expanded it before printing my final onto high gloss card stock and die cutting into my tag.

So quick, easy AND FUN!!

Don't forget, the winner of our challenges will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop.  Beverly Cole's selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-colored images for easy, last minute cards.  Why not take a moment and check out what she has in the store!!
I hope you will hop on over to the Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog and enter!
You will also see more inspiring designs from the Artsystamper Addicts DT ... so much fun!!

Tutti Designs - Winter Cardinal

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I've created yet another Christmas card using some old AND new dies
from the Tutti Design Store.

Today I've used the new ' Winter Cardinal'

I MUST CONFESS . . .
I made the following card FIRST then as I started writing my
post I realized the name of the die was Winter CARDINAL so of course
I quickly made another card (see above) and made it look more like the name!  LOL

Here is my original card and a few steps taken in its creation . . .

This looks more like a gold finch vs a cardinal!  LOL
But it does go to show you could make this bird any species you wanted!

After die cutting my Winter Cardinal, I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
for my coloring.

After saving the pieces that popped out of the bird,
I colored them with yellow (or red) and laid them back in.
I placed a couple small pieces of tape over the
pieces on the back side just to hold them in place until I
was ready to adhere my entire die cut panel.

I used the largest of the Cross Stitched Nesting Dies for my bottom mat.
Then the next largest size was die cut ... and from that panel I die
cut the next smaller size.  That way I could color the 'frame' (middle) panel
to add a coordinating color and position the smaller rectangle inside the colored panel
to have the same effect without the added weight.

Of course you could make the bottom two matting panels both frames (using the
first cut to create all 3 panels) and that would reduce the weight even more.
Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Sisterhood of Crafters - Christmas

Hello dear friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over

Our hostess today is MWAH ...and since the Christmas holidays
are right around the corner, I have chosen a theme that
will help us all get one step closer to having those holiday cards ready to mail.

My theme is:

ANYTHING CHRISTMAS

Here's what I have to share ...

We all enjoy decorating our homes for the holidays and something I
like to do is make new tissue box covers to sit around the house
after all ... along with the holiday there always seem to be colds & sniffles
so why not draw that tissue from a pretty box.

My holiday paper is a 12x12 and comes from the Mintay holiday collection
called 'Christmas Stories'.  The die cut poinsettia is by Poppystamps and is called
'Stitched Poinsettia Trio' (#1608).  I've also used Heartfelt Creations 'GoManGo Prills'
in the center of my flowers both on the box & the card.

I've also created a matching card ... just in case I decide to give this as a
gift during the holidays ... you just never know!  LOL

The larger poinsettia die used on my card is a Memory Box die called
'Gift Wrapped Poinsettia' (#99478).

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

 See you there!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Tutti Designs - Snowman Fun

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I've created  yet another Christmas card using an old AND new die from the Tutti Design Store.  I love it when I can combine dies onto one card to create a scene!

The newer die I've used is called 'Snowman Fun'

and the older (but still available) die I've used is called

I've die cut TWO snowman panels, colored one and glued them together
for added dimension.  My background was created using Tim Holtz Distress
Oxide Inks and the lower 'snow' is simply a scrap of white card stock torn in
half 'willy nilly' to create the 'snow mounds'

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Addicted to Stamps Challenge - Frosty and Cold

Hello friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog.
Sadly I must tell you that this will be our LAST CHALLENGE.
So, I hope you will help us 'go out with a bang!' and join in the fun.

Our theme this time around was selected by team mate Chrissy ...
And our sponsor this month is Crafty Ribbons.

 .

Chrissy's fun theme is ...

Frosty and Cold

and here's what I came up with . . .

I have been wanting to create a holiday scenery card so today's the day!
I have had this Inkadinkado stamp in my stash for years
and of course it's only around the time of the year that I blow the dust off it.

I recently bought THREE 12x12 paper pads at Michaels ... yes THREE!
(like I don't already have enough paper geesh!) ... but they were big pads and
I couldn't pass up the price ... Buy 1 Get 2 FREE!
And this black & white snowy paper was in one of the pads and I thought
worked perfectly for my black & white scene!

My framework was created by using the smaller portions of this beautiful
Sue Wilson Designs - Festive Collection - Twinkle Star Frames

and my snowflake is from a Hunkydory die set called
'Let It Snow' (MSTONE039)

Of course I had to add a touch of sparkle on the roof, tree & snowflake
using Diamond Stickles.  Here's a close up in case you didn't spot
it on the full size photo.

I hope you'll come join in this FUN challenge
and there are prizes offered too!
Hope to see you there!!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Alphabet Challenge - S is for SNOW

Hello Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Alphabet Challenge Blog.
Today's letter is "S"
for
SNOW

I'm sad to say this will be my last project for the Alphabet Challenge Design Team!
It has been a wonderful team to be a part of but it is time for me to make some
modifications to my crafting life.
Thanks to CAZ and all my teamies for a wonderful time!!

Amy Design - Dies - Vintage Winter Collection - Village Frame Straight

made today's card a quick & easy design.
After die cutting this beautiful scene from white card stock, I simply adhered it to a scrap of 'snowy' designer paper.  Lastly I added this perfect Sue Wilson 'Let It Snow' sentiment ...
Sue Wilson Designs - Mini Expressions - Let It Snow
also die cut from a scrap of white card stock ... and VIOLA!  My card is ready for mailing.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun and
I look forward to being inspired by your creation!!  See you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by...
As always . . .

Double D - Twelve Days of Christmas (Days 1-6)

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Diane is hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is:

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
(Days 1 - 6)
1st Day Partridge In a Pear Tree
2nd Day Two Turtle Doves
3rd Day Three French Hens
4th Day Four Calling Birds
5th Day Five Golden Rings
6th Day Six Geese A Laying

Here is the fabulous mood board she has created to help inspire you . . .

Which day theme inspires you??
My choice from this fabulous mood board was the 5 Golden Rings
as depicted on my card below . . .

I have reached back into my older stash and came up
with these fabulous papers from the Graphic45 8x8 paper pad
called 12 Days of Christmas (how appropriate for today's challenge!  lol)
This paper is circa 2013 but still LOVELY!!

My 'gold rings' were created using gold foil paper and the very
first set of Spellbinder dies I ever purchased (way back when) ...
the Classic Circle Die sets.

I didn't have any tiny, narrow red ribbon but I did have
this white ribbon and think it brought nice attention to my rings!
What do you think??

Diane has this fabulous Impression Obsession die up as the
prize to one lucky random winner.  Remember ... you gotta play to win!

So, come play along using our theme and YOU might be that random winner!!
Be sure to pop over to our Double D Challenge Blog and check out what the design team ladies have created ... they are amazingly talented and I'm sure you'll find more wonderful inspiration!
