Happy December Everyone!
A new month means time for a new challenge over on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.
Remember, this is a monthly Anything Goes challenge but with a fun twist
that you can choose to join in on ... or not! This month's theme is:
Anything Goes + Veggie Stamping
I don't know about you, but I have NEVER used a vegetable in my crafting! LOL
SO, this was truly a first for me and a true challenge!!
I have used the end of an English Cucumber as my 'stamp' to create my background panel.
Using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, my cucumber & water onto watercolor paper.
After creating my panel, I die cut my panel using the Memory Box
This die set cuts out the frame leaving the inside panel so I simply turned the frame
portion UPSIDE DOWN so that the colors did NOT match. This added
extra depth to my finished piece.
I stamped the floral image (a very old Paper Inspiration stamp)
and added my die cut Frantic Stamper 'Hello' which was die cut twice and glued together.
I do hope you'll pop over to the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and join in the fun!
You have until 6 PM EST the last day of the month to enter!
I'm so inspired by the rest of our amazing DT
and I can't wait to be inspired by YOUR project!
It came out rather well I think. Love the beautiful colors. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteThis is super and an update of you can’t have your veggie and eat it! I love the colour combination. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteYour cucumber did a great job LOL :D Lovely card and thanks for the trick
ReplyDeleteWow great card ! And I'm with you I can safely say I've never used a vegetable in my crafting - takes me back to school days and doing potato printing! Thanks for stopping by my blog and your lovely comment
ReplyDeleteBeautiful veggie stamped background and I love the wonderful colors. The silhouette image looks great with it.
ReplyDeleteI have never used a vegetable either to craft, that cucumber made for a great background! The silhouette stamping on top of it is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHa! I've heard about the veggie stamping. It sounds so funny, but just look what you did! How cool! A distressed circle with a distressed ring around it... we would buy a stamp like that. Looks great as a background, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteLove the background, Darlene! xoxo
