There's 'gnome' time like the present . . .

. . . to make you smile with this fun Birthday creation!

Good afternoon friends!

I'm late getting a card created to share with you today but with the help of the new challenge over on the CAS Colours & Sketches Double Challenge, I finally was able to pull a card together.

I love a sketch to get my creative juices flowing and this was PERFECT!!

For the life of me, I can not remember where I found this (and a couple other) digital gnomes.  And, I can't find them in my files ... hmmm (old age creeping in lol).  Anyways, I think he's adorable and I hope you do too.

I've used Tutti Designs 'Scallop Stitched Nesting Circles' for my Marina Mist layer and added faux stitching to the Tempting Turquoise panel using a white gelly roll pen.

I'm sure this card will help to brighten someone's birthday!

Balloons for your Birthday

Hello Friends ... Happy Tuesday!

I'm headed out shortly but before I leave, I wanted to share a quick card with you today.  I've created this card for the latest challenge over at Addicted to CAS.

It just so happens that today is my beautiful granddaughter Morgan's 29th birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MO!!

Even though I had already sent her a card, I had her in mind when creating today.

 Here's what I've used to create my card . . .

Die'sire Edge'ables - Wishing You A Happy Birthday

Crafter's Companion Wishing You A Happy Birthday Die 'sire Edge'ables Cutting & Embossing Die

Impression Obsession - Balloons

Balloons

I have used what remained in a few of my sponge daubers (Tim Holtz distress oxide inks) to created the background behind my sentiment edger.  And did the same to color my balloons.  A fine tip black marker was used to create the balloons strings.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you have a FABULOUS day!

Make the Cards Challenge - Color Combo

(Please forgive my camera failure ... the colors on my card actually DO MATCH that in the challenge board but for the life of me I can't get my camera to see them as they are!  UGH! )

 Welcome back friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on  Make The Cards Challenge
Today we are having a color challenge.

We are excited to have a guest designer today:  Kari VanNoy

These four colors reminded me of Easter ... hence today's card design.
Instead of using colored card stock panels, I decided to create my background using TH Distress Oxide inks in these colors and then spritzing with water.

My 'EGG' is from a very old Sizzix die set and my 'Easter Egg Basket' is by Tutti Designs and was colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

My stamped sentiment is a VERY old stamp by Paper Inspirations.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun ... here's the link for you one more time ...

Tutti Designs - Happy Easter

 Hello Friends!

Today I'm sharing a fun Easter card.  Can you believe Easter is this coming Sunday?  WOW!   Way back on January 27th Tutti Designs was showcased on the UK Hochanda TV Show.  Today's card and the cards I will be sharing with you for a couple of more weeks, were created for that event, using a variety of dies available at the Tutti Designs Store.

I loved this plaid designer paper so I thought it would make a good Easter background for my card and for my Tutti Designs Butterfly Spring Eggs.

TUTTI-520 Butterfly Spring Egg

I began by die cutting three panels from different Easter shades ... pink, blue & purple the using the die itself, outlined around the die onto the back of the plaid paper and cut out with scissors.  Now remember by outlining around the die, it is a little larger then the actual panel that pops out of your die so after gluing them together, I had to do a little fussy cutting ... No Big Deal!!

Looking at my card now, I guess I should have used a panel of white behind the eggs so you could see the difference between the plaid background eggs and the full plaid background on my card base ... oh well ... live and learn ... next time!  LOL

My sentiment is also by Tutti Designs ... Leafy Happy Easter.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies available. Need more inspiration?  The team has something new to share on the Tutti Designs Blog  EVERY DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY!
Pop in often and see for yourself ... what a talented group of designers!!
For your convenience, here are all the Tutti Designs quick links you will need:

Wishing you all an AMAZING day ahead!
As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Black and White

Happy Palm Sunday!

WOW ... it's hard to believe Easter is next weekend!  Seems like I just got the Christmas decorations all put away!  LOL   Where does the time go??

Speaking of last minute (well kind of lol) ... I was inspired by crafting friend  Judy Woodland's beautiful entry into the Color Hues Challenge and wanted to create a card and play along.  But, I'd better hurry since the challenge ends at 9 AM EST tomorrow.

My card was pretty quick & easy and only uses 2 dies and a touch of faux stitching.  The dies used are:

Paper Rose - Texture 1 (#17925)

Paper Rose Texture #1 Die

and Sue Wilson - Perspectives - HUGS (CED8307)

Sue Wilson Designs - Perspectives - Hugs

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Friendship

 Happy Saturday Everyone!

Earlier this week I received my order from the Dies R Us Store and just couldn't wait to create a card using one of the new stencils I purchased.  It's a stencil by Paper Rose called 'Sweet Foliage' (#19739) and unfortunately it's already Out of Stock.  But be sure to pop over and check out all the various stencils available at the DRU store!

Paper Rose Sweet Foliage 6X6 Stencil 19739 | Stencils & Embossing | Paper Rose Crafting & Stamping Supplies from Simon Says Stamp.

By masking off a portion of this 6x6 stencil, I was able to create a border on the side of my card.  I've used TH distress oxide inks and large sponge daubers to create my border.

I then used a Penny Black sentiment stamp and turquoise Nuvo crystal drops to complete my card.

Challenges to share in:

AAA Cards Challenge #186 - Along the Edge

Try it on Tuesday Challenge - Use a Stencil or Two
Make My Monday Challenge #144 - Clean and Simple
Less is More Challenge #439 - CAS Inking

Such a fun & easy card to create!  I think I'll make a few more
with different sentiments for upcoming Fall shows.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Guest Designing for Crafty Catz

 Happy Friday Friends!

I'm so excited to share the news that I have been asked to Guest Design today for the Crafty Catz Challenge Blog.  I was lucky enough to be the winner over on their blog last month with THIS CARD.

The theme this time around is of course Anything Goes but with an option of DREAMING OF SUMMER and the sponsor is The Paper Shelter.

 THE PAPER SHELTER

For my creation, I have used The Paper Shelter 'Having a Good Time' digital stamps.
Isn't he ADORABLE?

Having a Good Time! - Digital Stamp

I have created my scene using Word10 and printed onto 4x6 glossy photo paper.  Along the edge I've die cut a strip of an old Cheery Lynn Designs 'Flower Chain Border' (B132).  I've used pop ups behind each flower and then used Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower centers.  For my sentiment, I have used an OLD stamp from  'The Stamp Pad Co.' and it was stamped using India Ink since I was stamping onto glossy paper.

The background image is set for a square card but I sized it to fit onto my A6 card.  These digital images are FABULOUS and so much fun to create with ... be sure to check 'em out!

Once again I'd like to thank Aunty Sue for asking me to Guest Design for Crafty Catz!  Be sure to pop over to see what the DT has created ... awesome fun!  Of course then why not come join in the challenge fun ... who knows, YOU might be their next winner!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Clean & Simple Birthday

Welcome back to my blog friends!

Today I've created a card for the new challenge over on the AAA Cards Challenge Blog, here's what they're looking for on your designs today . . .

To accommodate the Sue Wilson Canadian Border die set (#CED6202),
I've created a slimline style card.

Sue Wilson Designs - Die - Canadian Collection - Corner, Border & Tag

The other dies used are from Tutti Designs ...

 Slimline Stitched Wobbly Frames

TUTTI-685 Slimline - Stitched Wobbly Frames

 Happy ... and ... Birthday

 TUTTI-228 Word Set - Happy

 TUTTI-229 Word Set - Birthday

What a fun card to create!

After finishing my card, a friend came over to purchase some birthday cards and spotted this one.  But, asked if I could 'add a little more to it' so here's how it turned out.  I guess you could say I've created a 'Before & After' card ... or 'Less or More' card ... LOL

Both I think would be nice to receive.

The modifications were to make the base card a little larger and actually cut the white original card in half and used the front panel.  Then using some scraps I die cut the ivy and flower ... plus added a few sequins.  DONE!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
