Welcome back friends!
It's time for a new challenge over on Make The Cards Challenge.
Today's challenge is:
We are excited to have a guest designer today: Niki Coursey – Cardstoq
I chose coffee! My day EVERYDAY starts with a cup of coffee. Mind you, I'm not like some people who have to have a HUGE CUP of Java with them all day long but I do enjoy my morning cup!
I had the perfect stencil to create my background panel. And instead of stenciling on white card stock, I grabbed a scrap piece of patterned paper which I thought resembled a table covering. The stencil used is by Tim Holtz called 'Splatters' (THS009). I've used a couple different colors of Tim Holtz distress ink for my sponging.
For my sentiment panel I've used a couple of stamps from the Frantic Stamper 'Coffee' stamp set (FRA-CL-133)
I've used the Tutti Designs Scallop Stitched Rectangles die set for my sentiment panel.
I do hope you'll come check out this new challenge blog and oh yea, I forgot to mention ... this is a WEEKLY CHALLENGE ... going live every Monday at 9 AM EST. Something new & fun to get your week off to a great start! Hope to see you there!
here's the link one more time . . .
I love this and the coffee rings look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteMy day starts with coffee, too, but just one mug, and then only a couple more throughout the day. Love the coffee stain stencil! Cute stamp set, too. Don't know why I have so few coffee stamps. Will have to do an assessment. Great card, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteMy friend you created the perfect background for your stamped panel. Beautiful! I too, enjoy a morning cup of coffee and my midafternoon cup of coffee, The latter usually with a sweet treat, which is not conducive to loosing weigh, but sometimes you just need something that makes you happy. :-)
ReplyDeleteMay your troubles be less, and your blessings be more,
and nothing but happiness, come thru your door!
♥ Lena
Dear Darlene
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful. I am also going to take part in this challenge. I hope I can make it as I have been doing some work to change my craft space to look more pretty amidst my work.I am making some racks etc using cardboard pattern paper and bits and pieces as I dont want to spend on organisation as it is very expensive. I rather spend it on a crafty goodie but I want my space to look pretty and organised as it makes me so happy. Sorry for boring you with all the details. Love and gratitude
Tc Stay safe
I am not a coffee drinker but this is pretty cool, I do love that stencil for the background, to go with your coffee set there!
