Can You Handle The Pressure - Butterflies

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is 'BUTTERFLIES'.  Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

I have had this 3D embossing folder for years!
Not sure why I haven't used it more (probably only used once or twice).
Isn't it beautiful?

This folder is 5x7 in size and I simply added a touch of color using TH distress oxide inks and a finger dauber.  My sentiment stamp is by The Stamp Pad Company.

By using these 3D embossing folders, you can make a card in a FLASH!  LOL

I do hope you'll come check out our new blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!

Here's today's prize offering . . .

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Bag It

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme, chosen by Sistah Annie is:

BAG IT
(hand bag, gift bag, decorate a bag)

While picking up a few things at the local Hobby Lobby store, I came across this adorable baby animal paper and coordinating  The Paper Studio dimensional stickers and this project came to mind. I have a neighbor girl expecting her first baby so I think these items will work perfectly along with a hand crocheted baby blanket (wow I'd better get busy on that!! ... baby's due in September).

I created a sky/grass background panel using TH oxide distress ink to 'anchor' my fun baby animals.

Here's another part to this gift idea ...

A coordinating tissue box cover for the baby's room.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Make The Cards Challenge #55

Welcome Back Friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on the  Make The Cards Challenge Blog.
Today we have a Technique challenge for you . . .

I have so many beautiful designer papers, it was difficult to decide which direction to go in today!  But I decided on using this beautiful papers are from the P13 'Till we meet again' 6x6 designer pad

  P13 - Till We Meet Again Collection - 6 x 6 Paper Pad

It just so happened I needed another DT card using layers so using the same basic idea, I got both cards done at the same time.  What I didn't use on the one, I used on the other.  Worked out GREAT!

The Tutti Designs 'Cross Stitched Nesting Rectangle' dies were used to create the frames. And,  I used a scrap of the designer paper on the focus rectangle panel before adding my Pink Fresh sentiment.

I'm very happy with how this card came together and I'm sure whom ever receives it for their birthday will like it too!  Here's another peek at my creation . . .

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun ... here's the link for you one more time ...

Double D - Monochromatic

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm happy to say I am hosting today's challenge and our theme is:

MONOCHROMATIC
(any color)

and here's an inspiration board I've created to help get you started . . .

To create today's card I went the easy route and let the designer paper from my Craft Consortium 'Ink Drops - Ocean' paper pad do the heavy lifting for the theme.  Using the strip I had cut off the one side to make my background panel the proper size for my card front, I simply matted it with white card stock and used it as an accent panel.

A Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaf die cut from white card stock then inked with TH distress oxide 'Faded Jeans' ink

along with a tag cut from the Poppystamps 'Stitched Main Street' tag die set (#1268) and my focus image/sentiment is complete.

I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!
The prize that you'll be playing for this time around is:

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!
