Hello Dear Friends!
(any color)
To create today's card I went the easy route and let the designer paper from my Craft Consortium 'Ink Drops - Ocean' paper pad do the heavy lifting for the theme. Using the strip I had cut off the one side to make my background panel the proper size for my card front, I simply matted it with white card stock and used it as an accent panel.
A Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaf die cut from white card stock then inked with TH distress oxide 'Faded Jeans' ink
along with a tag cut from the Poppystamps 'Stitched Main Street' tag die set (#1268) and my focus image/sentiment is complete.
I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!

Wow, gorgeous water color background paper. The inked foliage and white tag are all you need with it. They pop off of the color. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat paper always looks so nice, like the coloring of the leaves, and the way you used the tag with it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paper and perfect for this them. I love how you made a layer to add the leaves to and the tag is perfect for the sentiment which is so true for retirement.
ReplyDeleteI love these blue shades! Thanks for joining Paperminutes.

ReplyDeleteYesterday was a travel day and now we are back in WI. Thanks for a great challenge, on that I have fun with again. I jsut have to know where you got the sentiment. It is one that I say often. I have not seen it on a card until now. What a fantastic idea. You must let me know if it was hand written or a stamp?
