Hello friends and thanks for stopping by today!
It's time once again for a new monthly challenge over on the
Two Old Bats Halloween Blog!
Just wait until you see what the team has created ... OMG!! And to help us get our mojo going, Diane (yep, my Old Bat partner) has created this fabulous inspiration board. . .
OMG! I don't recall any of our family portraits looking like this! LOL
Obviously, I was inspired by the witch hat!
This image is one from 2008 Crafty Secrets Halloween Booklet (sorry they are no longer in business) and I've paired it with some VERY OLD Basic Grey background paper. The dies are by Rubbernecker Stamps.
I did a little faux stitching around the image as well as drew spider silk with a fine tip black marker.
Just to refresh your memory ... here's a recap of how things are done on our blog.

As always . . .
Now that is a family picture, LOL, I would love to know the story behind this photo. Love your added spiders and webs!
ReplyDeleteHello Darlene: Seeing this card reminds me of visiting my paternal grandma's house when I was a kid, she had a lot of these types of pictures all over and looking at them always made me think why they were that color, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThese family wearing the witch's hats look as if they are dressed up to go trick or treating, the basket the mom is holding was probably to put all the candy, right?
I love how you matched the color of the DSP to the picture, the spider webs and spiders are a great addition to the card.
I'm so very happy to be back, I missed making Halloween cards!!
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.
Okay, I'll be there! I have a stamp I've been thinking about. The photo on your card is making me chuckle, and I love what you've done with the background. Great way to enhance the paper. The spider silk is one of my favorite things about your card. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLove that family portrait with everyone wearing a witch hat! So cool! The spider webs and spiders are an extra bonus!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, it all blends together so well, this photo could be my long lost relatives LOL (hope NOT), the webs and spiders are the perfect spooky touch!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun image and card; love your creation using the "family" portrait! LOL
